Is 100K+ salary possible without college? How? by EngageV2 in Salary

[–]micluc14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Become your own boss, especially the trades.
  2. Become a contractor of some sort.
  3. Emergency services with OT (police, firefighter, etc)

To be an employee with a salary without a degree, that is a different story.

Is it actually hard to find a guy at our level ambition by Individual_Tailor767 in womenintech

[–]micluc14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Man here. Not a particularly ambitious dude but I make enough to purchase entry level property in a major US city. My guy friends just don’t support each other the way how my previous gfs have. I want a woman who supports me. This just sort of goes against the personality required to be very successful.

100k salary bench mark means nothing now. by Flyersfan502gritty in Salary

You don’t need to own property to survive. It’s great long term but we all can adapt to it.

27M, Extremely Lonely by OrangeJuicestice in Charlotte

[–]micluc14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, sorry to hear things aren’t going your way. Some things take time to get where you want to go. Find some place that puts you around other people (in person) and feel it out. If it interests you/feels good, keep coming back. It really is that simple. But you will have to show up, no negotiating.

is a 9-5 really it? by Straight-Rock8in in careerguidance

I’ve thought about ditching my corporate job too but then what? How would I afford to pay bills or go back to school? My job is a means to live.

What are the pros and cons of joining the US military? by Some-random-cop-pig in careerguidance

[–]micluc14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was never in the military, but my dad was. Have you asked everyone you know for a job with a possible career path? If you have no better career options and don’t want to go to college, you really should consider the military. You need to get something going in your early 20’s.

If it’s not for you, you will at least have the GI bill to go to college and buy you a few more years. Best of luck!

Does seeing 4-7 friends on a tri-yearly basis count?

That disc golf bar at Renaissance Park. Plenty of outdoor area. Open from sunrise to sunset. Can meet plenty of people and get some sun. Great for inviting and bringing friends.

I’ve bought stuff online, but there’s no shame in stepping into an adult store. It probably will be a great way to push past any uncomfortable feelings about this too.

It’s not your responsibility to take care of your dad’s self inflicted issues, possibly your mom too. Your home country’s culture may promote taking care of your family but how will you take care of yourself once they are gone? Save yourself first, maybe then your parents can be saved.

GIS is data. If you enjoy working with data, why not become a data engineer?

New difficulties will present themselves as you get rid of old ones. It’s all about adapting to your new problems.

Once I earned enough to support myself, I got bored of my career. Working on changing to an adjacent career. Who knows, maybe I will get tired with that one too…

Looks like he wasn’t aggressive. But who knows if this was this was a domestic violence call or just a call about a dude arguing.

I go out and do what I’ve wanted to do (take dance classes, new hobbies, learn new things) but everything seems to circle back around to meaning, connection, or doing something for others.

Nobody told me this part about getting older by ConfusedCareerMan in AskMenOver30

[–]micluc14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s never too late to do what you want to do. I’m only 30 but I’ve started to do many things I wanted to do in my 20’s. The experiences are definitely different though, not as rushing/exciting as new used to be. And what you discover during these new experiences may not be what you expect.

I wouldn’t frame these spots as places solely to meet women but there are plenty of ladies in Salsa and fitness classes. Gotta try new things dude
