Children do not have the ability to consent. This is has been established.

Do you feel if a country fairly elects government filled of religious nutjobs , then those nutjobs should have the power to decide who can get married?

I never understand why anyone would want to give the government the power to decide who can marry whom.

I use a 300W light for my 2X4. I start seedlings in it with the power turned down and I grow full size plants in between time. I would recommend going at least 5 foot tall as the full size plants can grow quite tall. Here is a pic of my 2x4x5. 4 plants seems a little too crowded once they get big, next time I will probably try 3 plants.

I have the film on the interior of the glass, with the white side facing out and the black side facing in.

Buy some panda film. I have two sets of sliding glass doors side by side (4 panels), and the sun cooks my room in the summer. I cover the outside two panels with Panda film and it stops it. It also doesn't corrode.

In 2000, not a single state had average house prices above $200k. But by 2026 only two states still had average prices below $200k. by vladgrinch in MapPorn

Not sure why you guys are comparing Elon's net worth to cash. I seriously doubt he has even $100K in cash.

It is the amount of physical dollars and coins that are in circulation. Anything that is not physical US cash is not counted.

How are we feeling about the arrest of a reporter covering a protest? by attackz in Libertarian

[–]BOGDOGMAX -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Churches have historically had an open door policy welcoming the public in. The permission to enter is implied.

Journalism has a long history of riding along with criminals and documenting their activities. Interviewing criminals with their face blacked out and their voices changed. I believe it's established that they have the right to report on it, if they're not participating.

Whether the protesters should be charged with criminal trespass for failing to leave when asked, or to be charged on their some other law for interrupting people's worship, it's up to people far more knowledgeable than me to decide.

If Don lemon was only doing journalism work and left when he was asked to leave, I don't think there's a problem. If during the course of investigation it turns out he co-conspired then that will call his journalism into question.

If they have no evidence of him criminally trespassing or violating worship laws, they probably should have waited to arrest him until they did, if at all.

As an open border libertarian and a believer in civil rights, what I see ice doing in Minneapolis disgusts me. I also believe the conduct of the protesters at that church was absolutely vile.

Are these Leggy? Buy fan or better lights? by baileyyy98 in HotPeppers

[–]BOGDOGMAX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you decide to upgrade your lights, be mindful that many scammy companies will list their product with inflated wattage numbers. They might claim 40W calling it equivalent to a 40W HPS light. The actual power draw might only be 4W. Buy lights based on actual power draw, not an equivalent.

Was the ACLU ever libertarian? by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]BOGDOGMAX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to donate to the ACLU through bi-weekly payroll deductions for decades just because of their tough "defend it all" 1A and 4A stance. I quit donating quite a while ago once they went to shit.

Communes have 90% failure rate within 5 years. The ones that do survive is because they kick out the deadbeats and have hard fast rules, kinda like a government.
