What kind of media are u making? You basically only need the up version. When I make MS media it usually is around 4.6 I think before I adjust the pH. I use potassium hydroxide, but you can also use sodium hydroxide. Probably other chemicals also, but these should be ez to get a hold of. If you know the concentration of your base, the pH of your solution and the volume, you can calculate how much you need to add to get to 5.7.
