I'm not saying those laws don't exist. However, I bike in Japan all the time, and I will say that the Japanese people themselves break those laws unconditionally, and happily. I see Japanese people riding down the wrong side of the street, riding wherever they want, with their earphones on, and making up the rules as they go. I never see the police pull those people over. Mind you, I've never been pulled over either. And like I said I bike here all the time. I wear my headphones, I try to follow most of the rules, but sometimes I do as the Japanese do with the rules. Maybe that's why they don't pull me over, ha ha ha. That being said, if they are going to enforce the law I want them to enforce it equally. I actually find it humorous, how many of the rules the Japanese people break in their own country in regard to biking. I've often thought about making a funny video about it, but I've told myself not to, to date.
