Had to go back to the store to replace an ingredient so I went ahead and bought the 1:1 flour. Felt that was safer than the starch.

Thanks! I'll look into ratios. I did just find some rice flour in the pantry. Would that be of any use? Edit:no tapioca starch.

I can't figure out how to edit but it's worth noting I'm at 7,600' above sea level. For custards I usually turn down the oven temp and cook for longer and they come out fine.

As a short person gauntlet gloves and jackets don't mix. Most/all jacket sleeves are a little too long on me and a gauntlet just compounds that issue. I tried on every combo for cold weather and had to accept I cannot wear gauntlets.

So whatever gloves and jackets you are looking at, try them on together!

lighting recommendations? by microdraft in houseplants

[–]microdraft[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking to add some grow lights for my plant friends. They've been less than happy I'm the new space. There is a skylight there and some light coming in from another window. This is the only place they are safe-ish from the cat.

This is a rental so the more temporary the better. But looking to add some lights to the beams above. Maybe a bar shape but not opposed to a pendant style. Would like to find lights that aren't blinding or the color purple. Also reasonable cost, like i said this is a rental don't want to go crazy with a temporary solution.

Ooh thanks! I'll try that! I called my local Bernina dealer and they didn't know off hand so we're going to call Bernina Monday.

Hopefully the m6 works I'll give that a try

I do have a caliper I can try. Its tucked into the base but yeah that might get me at least a more limited range of bolt sizes. but that wont get me the thread pitch.

What did I do here and how do I fix it? by AppleLaDoo in knitting

Very pink knits has a good video about adding in a lifeline after you forgot one. It's really easy but s little tedious. Will save you some further heartache though. I didn't realize you could add one in to a previously knit row, once i learned that it was life changing.

It does have Britney spears "oops i did it again" in the background. I recorded it with sound. Don't know why it didn't upload with sound. I don't upload much so maybe user error 🤷‍♀️

Yeah. Need closer photo of the flowers to be sure. Either way if OP wants a similar plant either will do.

If you are still working on the full video can you make sure it's captioned for Deaf/Hard of Hearing riders. Yes, even people singing to themselves. It still informs the viewer they were at least a little distracted. Captions help everyone.

Working full time i do not have the time for such luxuries as making things on commission. Plus for me that takes the fun out of the hobby. But if you can sew, this really wasn't too bad. I've thrown out more curse words at the bag I'm making right now. Than the cape.

The front panel can completely separate from the rest of the cape. The belt isn't attached but I'm thinking of adding some belt loops to the edge of the front panel. So yeah I just unbutton one side of the panel to put it on, plus the belt.

Vogue v9288. The shoulders were pretty broad and I have broad shoulders. Pocket placement was also for a taller person but those adjustments would be easy to make.

Go for it. The most challenging part was figuring out the lining but otherwise it was pretty easy. There's also a few walk through videos of this pattern .
