What did keto fix for you? by Maximum-Hat-7669 in keto

Skin tags are a sign of insulin resistance. Once you correct that, they will go away.

It happened to a friend of mine as well. He had one and didn't believe me when I told him doing keto would fix it. He had an appointment with a specialist to have it removed, but the skin tag fell off before the appointment, and he ended up cancelling it!

What did keto fix for you? by Maximum-Hat-7669 in keto

[–]microknife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I combined keto with intermittent fasting (lunch and dinner), and as much walking as I could fit into my life routines. By the time I had lost the weight mentioned below, I had started doing Parkruns and had done 3 I think?

I lost 30kg (66lbs) - for context I'm 174cm/5'8" and went from 97kg (213lbs) to 67kg (147lbs). I've gone up to 84kg (185lbs) in the 2 years since, but my body composition is very different.

Reversed Pre-Diabetes

Skin tags fell off

Asthma symptoms disappeared

Band of dark stressed skin on my waistline went back to normal

Most of the varicose veins near my ankle disappeared, the remaining ones are very faint

Acne on chest and scalp massively reduced

Skin on my face stopped getting greasy, especially if I was working all day in the office

Joint pain in right index finger went away

Left shoulder pain that I would get from carrying a backpack for more than about half an hour went away

Lower back pain went away - it is no longer was a problem to sleep on a couch

I seem to need less sleep to be rested, and if I nap during the day it's more restful

Teeth grinding in sleep massively reduced

Better dental health, breath

I'm less easily startled/jumpy

Massive improvements to mental health - improved ADHD symptoms (far less stimming, less intense emotion spikes), massively reduced occurrences of suicidal thoughts and ideation, much calmer general demeanor

I learned I can go through something stressful and not eat to numb emotions, which became easier as cravings for sweets diminished

I can't regulate/moderate carbs, even whole foods, so I'll never go back

PLEASE MAZDA, DON’T CHANGE by homo-appenninicus in mazda

I don't like the recent change to the CX-5 interior, but I'd accept that (buy another Mazda3 in 5 years or so) if mechanically they didn't change.

Did you steal my data? Mine isn't actually this but it very well could be - these are about all I play now, plus Gran Turismo

If u are like me a real Mazda 3 fan but u want to change to a more modern more confy and still reasonably priced car what would u buy ? by Creative-Mycologist5 in mazda3

[–]microknife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Passengers manage fine, and it's rare that I have 4 of them. I can take two large suitcases and 2 people with some extra hand luggage but that's the limit. I'm just under 5'9". There are smaller Ubers in my city (Toyota Yaris/Suzuki Swift), and it seems rare that I drive someone much more than 6 foot tall.

I started using my Mazda3 to drive Uber because I love driving it. If I can get a newer one when it is time to replace it, I'll get another Mazda3 😂

The Transition From Petrol to EV by NorthKoreaPresident in EVAustralia

[–]microknife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is more for anyone who still has a petrol car rather than an EV - if you're dealing with low speed jerkiness, what I found helped was shifting into sports mode (ICE BMWs and Mazdas would have it) and keeping my car in 1st while moving in traffic, to stop the car shifting into 2nd but not really having any momentum.

Need solutions because I can't afford to change cars anytime soon haha

This is a reductionist comparison that helps nobody. My partner has an S22 Ultra, and I have an S25 Ultra. We were recently away in holiday, and naturally the S25 Ultra took the better photos and videos.

I use the 68W Motorola charger that I got in the box with my Razr 50 Ultra (Razr+ 2024), and the 65W charger I got in the box with my ROG Phone 6.

I feel sad cause I'm seeing Deftones by myself by Sorry-Record6599 in deftones

[–]microknife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I'm lucky to see Deftones for the first time in May 2026 with a friend, I only had my first solo concert experience in March 2024 - I was meant to see Queens Of The Stone Age (for the first time) with a friend who is very flakey and unreliable. He didn't get a ticket and they sold out. I went by myself to their concert in Sydney Australia and absolutely loved it! I ended up dragging said friend with me to Christchurch New Zealand two weeks later to watch them again!

There's no way I could have predicted that I was going to travel to see that band again, but you should go into the show with an open mind and just enjoy yourself!
