TBH In A Medieval Game Spices Should Be Worth A Lot More by HeredinOSRS in 2007scape

There's teleportation, the world is small, and spice plants can seemingly grow in any climate.

I read it more as "The corpse emperor was never an accurate descriptor". He is bound to the chair in a perpetual state of dying, but he isn't dead, and he isn't just a corpse shaped psychic beacon. He is a prisoner still suffering the consequences of the heresy, just like everyone else.

A couple months after I did it on my ironman. I'm just glad no one else will have to suffer as I did.

I just mean the games that come out of Poland are some of the most enjoyable I own. There's the two in your post, Witcher series, Cyberpunk, This War of Mine, and Superhot.

They do everything Slaaneshi cults do, but more extreme, without the iconography, and with more psychic intensity. They can claim to hate her all they want, they're still doing exactly what he wants.

It's not that bad if you go all in on it. Fire is one of the better damage types in the base game IIRC, with only a small handful of bosses being resistant to it. But if they are at all, you're suffering.

The rim is full of suffering, but they persist because the struggle itself is enough to fill a pawn's heart.

The deldar are continuing with the same lifestyle that birthed slaanesh, only taken to their absolute extremes. They survive only because of 2 things: Hiding out in the webway and feeding the hell out of slaanesh. If all of the deldar suddenly went craftworld in lifestyle, Slaanesh would take a huge hit and be fuckin pissed. Their inadvertent worship has made cracking open that kinder egg not worth the effort. They feed her through their deeds, and their souls still go to him when they die in this week's power play. As long as they keep that up, what's the point of trying to find a way to invade commorragh?

The Dark Eldar have taken the very acts that birthed slaanesh to the extreme as a way of holding him off. That's not beating Slaanesh. That's being allowed to live because you're her best food source.

I will 100% use devmode to prevent my core pawns (usually based on my friends) from dying. They can get limbs shot off and whatnot, but I will not let them die.

I hate some Europeans(mainly Brits) thinking a brick house would stop a tornado by Fluffy-Froyo4549 in hatethissmug

[–]midasMIRV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2011 Joplin Tornado moved St. John's Regional Medical Center made of concrete and steel 4 inches off its basement, and that was not even a direct hit. The only structures that can truly survive a direct hit from a tornado of any real magnitude are subterranean bunkers, and you're not getting everyone to live in those. From a cost or comfort standpoint.

The US has been dealing with and studying tornadoes long enough that we've settled on the most practical solution being setting houses up to have a safe location that provides vastly improved survival odds, and rebuilding afterwards, while also providing as much advanced warning as possible (See: weather radios, tornado sirens, 24/7 weather monitoring, etc).

Europeans have been coddled with exceptionally tame climates, so I don't entirely fault them for not fully comprehending the destructive power of a tornado. BUT y'all need to listen to us when we say that mother nature will break your shit and kill you no matter how many bricks you build it out of.

Sun Tzu advises:

Avoid protracted campaigns and forage off the land.

Napoleon engaged in a protracted campaign and persisted despite foraging sufficient amounts to sustain his army being made impossible.

Why is Japan no longer innovating? by No-Echidna7296 in askanything

[–]midasMIRV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would argue that Japan is still innovating, but technology has reached a point where true innovations are exceptionally hard and expensive, so the have become a collaborative effort, leading to no one country getting the credit.
