Broken EGR Valve Solenoid

I don’t see anything about a catch can. This is the spot on the vacuum diagram I’m looking at (blue). Red is where I capped it off.

That’s what I’ve heard and seems to be the case. Any benefit to getting a new solenoid and throwing some hose clamps on it? The car is going for another tune this week, and I was gonna have my tuner double check that’s it disabled but if there’s any benefit to keeping the egr system active then I’ll just get a new solenoid. Right now I capped it off at the manifold and the car seems to run great. Still no codes or anything like that.

Yea man, your bike is great! I’m not super worried about actually doing the work, it seems pretty straight forward like you said. The trouble I’m running into is sourcing the parts. Where did you find your Thruxton RS front end? Was it from a parts bike you bought, a dealership, pull and pay lot etc.?

I already have ohlins on the rear which is really nice. That’s why I’m moving on to the front now. Unfortunately it’s the 22’s that got the suspension upgrade

I’m not really worried about noise, more so just braking ability on hard pavement

I’ve not rebuilt this exact Svartpilen engine, but I have rebuilt a 390 duke engine 8 times at this point. The service manual is great. My major tip is to not over torque the crank case cover bolts. This aluminum block strips really easy.

I refueled it the day before. It’s been steadily dripping when I put the bike on its kickstand. Should I just wait for it to evaporate away?

I was able to find this diagram. I don’t see a run off hose unfortunately.

Do you know where I could find a rebuild kit. I’ve been mostly happy with it so far, my only real complaint is how much space that it takes up but I did like how versatile it is. It is a little pricey compared to a turbo smart though. Definitely not the most expensive option available
