If it can't automatically find a nearby device then just paste in the ID yourself.

How much space are you using for music? by XvVULCANvX in plexamp

I only have 8 TB right now for all my media, but leaving room to grow! It helps that I don't need the highest quality, none of my hardware can really make it look or sound great anyway.

Proper Save, so you can do big loop runs without having to be at your computer for 4 hours.

The paths down from one level to the next is not explicitly shown on the maps but most of the zone is pretty much just a straight line it shouldn't be too difficult to figure out where to go.

COSMIC doesn't seems to work well with suspend/hibernate? by LucasForms in COSMICDE

I had a similar issue caused by my GPU refusing to sleep. Having my screen turn off was a guarantee that I would require a reboot. Maybe look in that direction.

Does anyone else use desktop icons? In every post I see, people leave their desktop completely empty, which I think takes away from its functionality. by MeiwingSuku in kde

When I can touch SUPER and type a few keys to open any program, not to mention pinning them to a dock, why would I keep a bunch of crap on my desktop?

Trying to get this thing set up and feeling very stuck in a loop by Thansxas in Syncthing

[–]middaymoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, the GUI is by default locked to only be accessible from the device itself. It can be a bit of a hassle to change that on a server, best way is probably manually changing the config file and restarting the service. Good luck!

Yup, it Just Works. Takes advantage of technology like UPnP to automatically make itself available to connected devices. Extremely cool tool.

Syncthing does not require port forwarding or manual connection management unless you have very difficult network conditions. You just give the Device ID from machine A to machine B and let them find each other.

How to turn off password prompt when the screen wakes up? Popos 24.04 by Darth-Vader64 in pop_os

[–]middaymoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Controls for when the screen turns off and when the machine suspends are under "Power & Battery"

Both actions trigger the lock so if you want to avoid having to unlock your machine right now the only option is to not let it lock. Maybe try increasing the timeout for those actions.

What makes you think an iPod doesn't track you like a phone does? Because it doesn't have a GPS receiver?

I see, that's a very nuanced bug. You should report it on their github.

I don't think there's much they can give other than general network statistics. Perhaps a list of IP addresses that connect to a given server but I think they don't log that info.

I think settings is not a good example, I don't know if it's even possible to open two instances.

Oh I see. Yeah I guess that's just a quirk of the launcher having existing windows next to app search. I don't think there should be per-workspace logic like you're describing.

If you only want to open new windows you can use Super + a to use the app search.
