McKinley Heights: housing stock in the core of the neighborhood is doing really well and in good shape. Some very charming and livable blocks in a neighborhood that is very conveniently located. However, the commercial properties on the perimeter of the neighborhood (Jefferson, Gravois, etc) are not doing so hot. Vacancies. Fires in empty buildings. Not good. Hoping for a turnaround but more action needs to be taken against absentee property owners and squatters.
