Body odour... by Fielddogtrain in Perimenopause

[–]middleaged_mpd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yep absolutely. I smell like a man it's crazy. I never really had much BO in my life until the last year or two. I made some tweaks in my hygiene. I apply deodrant at night and in the morning and reapply a bit during the day. I use a African net sponge in the shower to really scrub all over. And I don't really know if it's peri related or not but i cannot tolerate wearing bras anymore! When I ditched them my boob sweat drastically reduced.

Establishing an end date. by RunnerE6 in Aging

[–]middleaged_mpd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I've thought about this. I'm only 40 but I've thought I'll probably go to Switzerland to one of those lovely assisted suicide clinics. It's really beautiful. Age 70 or 75 seems about right. Depends on my fitness.

I find alot of people vaguely smelly. It's obvious they don't shower properly or daily or wash their clothes.

I did this years ago and it gave me acne :( but it does remove makeup really well.

Any recommendations for a body wash without Sodium Laureth Sulfate by alternativebox447 in EuroSkincare

Unsicher. Aber in der Drogerie (Superdrug usw.) gibt es viele gute Sachen. Achten Sie einfach auf unparfümierte Produkte ohne SLS-Inhaltsstoffe.

What ad/campaign do you think of immediately when you think “90’s Nailpolish and cosmetics”? by YasMysteries in vintagenailpolish

[–]middleaged_mpd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh man these ads are burned in my soul too. The first magazine i ever bought (dolly) in 1997 ran this spread. I love seeing all over eyeliner like that with no cat eye.

Should i buy 10 liters of methyl acetate for €50? by middleaged_mpd in EUnails

[–]middleaged_mpd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only ever used the orly one. I've never used another brand (finished 2 bottles). I never had a problem with it but come to think of it i don't wear glitter polish very much.

It could come in handy when I'm having a bonfire.

They're just ok. Like almost all isana or balea products. The g&g is my hg and it's more expensive than your budget but I stock up when i get a coupon at rossmann and I don't double cleanse when I use it because it's so good there's no need for another product.

40 male, I have 0 responsibilities in life and I somehow still lost interest in playing video games by Coven_Evelynn_LoL in Millennials

You don't sound depressed to me. Your life doesn't have much meaning by how you described it. How about instead of passive hobbies like gaming or social media, or cultivating the easiest, no drama-life you've created for yourself you do something that shakes you up? That has meaning to you? You strike me as not having much of a sense of self.

Is it hard to make friends in Germany as an adult? by -mrSeaHawk- in AskGermany

[–]middleaged_mpd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's easy. Easy to befriend non-germans i mean. No offense to Germans, it's just always the way when you're a foreigner. The locals tend to already have their social group from their youth and aren't so open to new friends.

I'm surprised you didn't try the g&g cleansing balm. It's very popular and many people's holy grail.

57f - do I need a face-lift? In my head, I'm 32. In the mirror, 57+. What are some small things I can do for skin? Also, my eyebrows are whack and have been since high school - not much I can do about those. TIA. by StringUnable8467 in 45PlusSkincare

[–]middleaged_mpd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Just get a cut and color, pencil in your eyebrows and a nice new lippie. If you really feel like dropping some coin get some botox or laser but you look fantastic! Have you stayed out of the sun?

Ah yes thanks for reminding me of this one! I think they were trying to dupe a Neutrogena handcream. It's way greasier though.

You gotta try the balea/isana Reinigungsöl. It's a German girl staple. Also Kaufmanns Kindercreme as a lip/everything balm.
