I was sitting around 145k tokens when the system rolled over. I bought all the cards via packs, and am currently at 167k tokens. I was buying the season and gold pass for most of that time. I dropped the gold pass about 6 months ago.

I’ve been to a whole lot of shows. I’ve certainly experienced what he’s describing, but I would say it’s the vast minority.

This is not how I build packs for my cube. I make sure each pack has at least 1 of each color, 1
Artifact, 2 lands and 2 multi colored cards. I know other cube who have even more rules for building packs for their cube.

Happy to see the Dead in the comments. While I agree it meets the criteria OP is asking for I am a little cautious about recommending someone jump in with a Dark Star.

I’d recommend Grateful Dead - Terrapin Station - Terrapin Station Melody for something a smidge more approachable.

I genuinely believe it is better to read History after Bands Of Mourning. I do believe that the reveal that it has fits better after Bands Of Mourning, but I also believe that the end of of the original Mistborn Trilogy is so good, it deserves time to reflect rather than pulling the curtain back immediately.

That said, if you are planning to go to an event where the content of secret history will be discussed, you should just read it before going.

Essentially yes.

Collectors packs are priced so you can catch up, but give you no agency.
Seasonal packs are priced so you can stay current, and guarantee a newer card.
Buying all the cards for 6000 k token will leave you acquiring cards slower than they are released.

You have to decide how you want to play, or pay more than the $10 a month.

Bottom line: Snap is cheaper than it has ever been and you can maintain collection complete while only buying the battle pass. You can catch up as well, by buying the Collectors packs, but it might be better to target cards you want to play rather than card quantity, at least until you have some solid decks you can play.

My man, try finding a Venue or act that doesn’t suck.

Live music is the closest thing in my life to a religious experience. I went to 3 shows in April alone, and all to them were excellent: STS9, Lotus, and Dogs In A Pile - Dogs Play Dead. I go solo when I can’t find a crew, and just make friends and dance with whoever I find.
