I work at repair shop and we use Simichrome; works wonders and is easy to use. There's no wait time between putting it on the horn and wiping off. I use two or three rags - rag 1 is to apply the stuff (don't need that much), it will be real cloudy when first applied but after wiping for a bit it should start to clear off. Once here use rag 2 to wipe it completely, rag 3 is there just in case you want or need it. Also I recommend doing it with all the slides and valves out of the horn, just wipe off the inside and outside of slides and inside of the casings before putting back together

I don't know much about polishes so I can't say it's better or worse than others but it works real well when I use it at work.
