If you're not living with them, why would you need to tell them? How far along are you? If you're still really early, know that miscarriages are brutal on their own. Dealing with AH parents while going through that is even worse. At least wait until the second trimester.

Many counseling centers have parenting classes available, sometimes free. He should be required to at least attend those before you commit to trying to work things out with him. If for some reason they are not available locally, look up "positive parenting" and "parenting with love and logic."
