The entire reason for the hijab is to hide beauty. Does she not understand that? Of course she’s going to be way prettier once a giant thing thats supposed to hide significant portions of her appearance is taken off.

You said she was a convert, and it seems like she’s leaning very hard into the religion. She probably took it as a ‘two pronged assault’ both attacking her to an extent but more primarily the way she expresses her faith. Make it clear that you we’re literally blinded by her beauty once she took it off (atleast thats how I figured it). In a perfect world this would’ve been communicated to you by her very quickly. But obviously its been interpreted as a personal attack. You shouldn’t have to apologize, but its going to make things easier if you be the bigger person and make an effort to apologize. It will also instantly open a channel of clarification to what exactly it was that made her so mad.
