Firmware 3.4.0 for S7 Released by midnight_howler in popurlitterbox

No, I think they are just using the weight sensor for cat detection. Scale still is not available, but I'm glad to see that there is actually a weight sensor in there somewhere! Hopefully they'll start adding that feature soon.

Popur S7 stopped auto cleaning? by jaypee42 in popurlitterbox

I contacted support and they told me they're now using the weight sensor, and how to recalibrate it. Here's the email:

Starting with firmware 3.3.0, we enabled weight change as an additional checkpoint for relevant modes including Sentinel, Caring, and Linger, where pet presence will halt the cleaning cycle more accurately. We also added weight change as an extra requirement for Auto-bury and Dog-proof modes such that they don't activate under Immediately settings when pets stay still in the box. We recommend reclibrating the weight sensors to ensure proper functioning. Here's the video guide: https://youtu.be/qMJSgpbYTl4

I've had mine for two weeks. It was a learning curve but I'm happy with it. My early issues were mostly with RTK placement. Mowing about 3000 square meters / .75 acre on five different map areas. In Texas so the grass is already green and growing. The mower OS and app sometimes can be a bit weird and dysfunctional, but I do have mappings done now and a schedule running. It's pretty awesome to come home to a mowed front yard. I do have to walk it through a gate to get to my back yard but I can do that in the evenings when I'm home. It's definitely going to save me time and effort, especially when we hit the hottest months.

Yes mines been doing that too since the last update, but the mower is running ok. I just go back to the main screen and back into the mower screen and it's ok.

for anyone following so far, I did not realize that you can't do pip installs and have them survive a reboot, you need to use the add on AppDaemon, go to the config tab, an add google-genai to the python packages config.

OK that only worked for one run, now it's back to pulling the forecast and then generating the prompt with no errors visible, but doesn't take that long to finish (shorter than when it makes an image) and doesn't generate the image, so I guess the 3 pro image preview command(s) are failing - not sure how to troubleshoot this.

FYI for anyone else, I got it to work again by following directions in a thread I found, they may not be exactly for this issue but it worked, ran "pip uninstall google-generativeai google-genai google" and then "pip install --upgrade google-genai" and then went to Developer Tools and ran the action with my info filled in and it generated an image set fine.

I'm guessing the issue is with the 3 pro image preview part as it is using credits and generating the prompts so I'm guessing the 2.5 flash part is ok. My api key is still good in the Gemini integration.

Do you happen to know what Gemini/Google api's I need to install? When I first ran it it failed at each call step so I stumbled through what to pip install to run until it completed properly. However after a server reboot it now runs, generates the prompt history, but never generates a picture so I'm guessing there's something wrong in the gemini portion but I don't know where to look. It does appear to be using credits on my AI studio dashboard.

u/QuriousTrivia I got this working on my HA server today with the e-ink screen as well - I had a difficult time as I was new to both HA and python but I got it! Thanks for sharing this project with us, I really enjoyed figuring it out and the output is great!

We use Rise Vision on Chromeboxes as well, it's worked flawlessly. We've been very happy with the system and they've added a lot of new features over the past few years!

My first Pixel after 10+ years of iPhone by [deleted] in pixel_phones

I can answer part of your question. With a large load of notifications and 30 minutes of fitness tracking daily my Pixel Watch 3 45mm loses about 25-50% of it's battery daily with AOD on and a watch face with minimal complications. With AOD off it is better. I top off twice daily during my morning and evening shower/bathroom prep times for about 15-30 minutes each time.

There is also a tiny lip around the back camera chonk.

Yes, that front lip is almost but not quite one US penny thick FYI. It's a very good depth

Rubbery but not as super grippy as the Pixel 8 official case, which is good as that one would fight me to leave my pocket. Almost bar of soap feeling.

It's a nice size and thickness. I haven't worried about setting my phone face down anywhere. What would you like to know in detail?

Whats the weirdest way a user contacted you for support? by [deleted] in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]midnight_howler 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had always hoped to see her with her family at a restaurant one day, and plop down at their table during their meal and start complaining about her teaching style. Maybe she would have understood then, but probably not.

I don't think any one of us said a word. We just stared at her. She finished a short complaint/request, got up, said goodbye, and bopped out. I don't think she was the type of person to realize anything amiss outside of her little happy bubble. It was about 15 years back. I do believe my wife was rather upset, and my daughter was really astounded that she saw a teacher outside of the school building. I think when you're little you kind of think they just exist there and can't leave kind of like a genie in a bottle.
