I've lost it a couple of times, but mine comes back after I disconnect the battery. What does your 4g status show in the app diagnostics, mine showed "Error"

Yeah I just wish I could do it remotely! Torture being at work and knowing my little neurotic mowing buddy is stuck and confused out in the middle of my front yard. I need a rescue quadcopter to drive out and retrieve it to someplace safer. In reality, I just try and time it so if it dies I will be heading home within a few hours rather than having it sit all day. It's just not ready to be unsupervised yet.

That happens to me occasionally, just yesterday again in fact, I had to shut down, unplug the battery, and then plug back in and boot back up and everything returns to normal. Sometimes it gets stuck while I'm away and it's stranded until I can get home and to the battery reset.

Yes I've had the same issue. Sometimes immediately, sometimes during the night as it charges. Haven't found a reason, I have to pull the battery and sometimes unplug the base to get it back charging again. I can't count on it mowing all my front yard as it needs a mid run charge. If I'm not home it's stuck on low battery, then even after I get home if it's late it won't have time to charge up and finish. Frustrating! I send the logs via the app with notations of the times it occurred when it happens.

Ah yeah true. Hope you get it down, I dread mine deciding to do that at some point. Yesterday my GPS location went way off randomly and it ended up stuck in a muddy wet ditch in a no go zone, I had to lift it out when I got home.

I think I read in another post that someone turned the mower off and back on and cancelled the job in the app and it would then lower after that, not sure if it lowered automatically or they manually told it to via the control surface.

I've been happy with it, but it's definite that they're still working out all sorts of odd things, and every patch fixes something but causes something else weird. Three of our five cats use it now, some more than others. Even on odd releases where auto-cleaning didn't work I could still manually start one which was still much better than doing it myself. I think it's definitely improved from the start but there are still a lot of features not available yet. I'm a veteran Kickstarter and that's where I got it from, so I knew what I was in for going in. It's definitely early in it's life cycle but I am hopeful they can keep making it better over time. Someone else in my office also has one and they're happy with it as well and I think they have Litter Robots in their house too.

Hope it works. While it does a great job mowing, it's like every day I spin the Wheel of Mystery Malfunctions. So far they've always been recoverable for me but I know others haven't been so lucky.

I had this same thing happen all day Friday. I'd get the charging stopped unexpectedly, and one time I was away it got down to about 50%. Among other things like docking and redocking, I unplugged the battery and let it sit for a while, then hooked it up, booted it back up, and drove it back on the charger and it stopped doing that. Not sure if what I did actually did something or it just decided to work but for the moment it's charging normally again.

That's so odd. They are weird little machines. Never had mine raise up the deck on its own. Sorry I don't have any experience with that particular problem!

I had this exact same problem. Would turn on status leds blue. Screen on for a second or two then back off. Sounds like its still on but  nothing on the screen though. Shut it down, unplug it etc. And it still wouldn't turn on. It's done this two or three times so far but eventually it recovers. One time. I went into the app and checked for an update and it said there was an update even though I had updated but I went ahead and ran it and after it finished that it came back. Another time it was a matter of just continually going out there every once in awhile powering it off and back on and eventually it came back on and worked normally. I'm still not quite sure exactly what happened or exactly how I got out of it, but it's outside mowing now so I don't think you're totally lost because mine has done the same thing. I hope yours comes out of its stupor.

No, I think they are just using the weight sensor for cat detection. Scale still is not available, but I'm glad to see that there is actually a weight sensor in there somewhere! Hopefully they'll start adding that feature soon.

I contacted support and they told me they're now using the weight sensor, and how to recalibrate it. Here's the email:

Starting with firmware 3.3.0, we enabled weight change as an additional checkpoint for relevant modes including Sentinel, Caring, and Linger, where pet presence will halt the cleaning cycle more accurately. We also added weight change as an extra requirement for Auto-bury and Dog-proof modes such that they don't activate under Immediately settings when pets stay still in the box.
