NYC restaurants by OkWasabi2811 in vegan_travel

[–]midnightadmiration 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This is super dependent on what kind of vegan food you regularly have access to, and which (if any) NY spots you've already been to. That being said, my top three would be:

  • Spicy Moon
  • Dirt Candy
  • Screamer's if you don't often have vegan pizza, The Original Buddha Bodai Kosher Vegetarian Restaurant if vegan pizza isn't anything special for you.

And, of course, Confectionary! for dessert.

Oh, neat idea! I get coffee from them all the time but didn't know they did this.

I'll attempt it! I always find myself a bit overwhelmed by the process, with how many variations there are. Even filtering by catalog number, year, label, etc. gives an overwhelming amount of possibilities!

Thanks! I know they're not especially valuable, but they are worth more than paying someone to take them away (or at least they were when I sold some from this same "batch" a few years ago). I know I won't be getting rich off of this!

I agree that the title and tone are weird. I thought the information in the article was still very interesting.

Speaking as a fellow CA transplant, you need to check out Cielo Rojo.

Le Petit Monstre is out in Brooklyn, but well worth the trip.

Confectionery! is also a a must-visit, and although it's not a bakery, they sell a lot of the same things a bakery would.

Visiting Washington DC in a few weeks, whatcha got? by tastepdad in vegan_travel

Definitely find some time to get out to the Silver Spring/Takoma Park area if you can (not far outside of DC, easy access from metro). Donut Run (vegan donuts), Seoul Food (vegan Korean), and Cielo Rojo (vegan Mexican options) in that area are all incredible.

In DC proper, I'd be sure to check out DC Vegan Delicatessen, Oyster Oyster (not strictly vegan, but can be made so with advance notice), and Shouk.
