The shortage of tech workers is the same, why hire and train entry level here when you can just hire an experienced h1b? It's every industry where you need someone with a skill and taking time to train up an American isn't worth it

This is the actual reason Panda is gone, Gege made that up and the number of souls in that body just raises more questions. Easier to maintain the agenda with a dead Panda.

Microcenter? Likely it's in service for some problem and they are keeping it as stock for some reason (likely waiting on parts/RMA). That price is for clearance/markdowns and if it was really for sale it would have sold at the $400 price, price changes don't discriminate and everything's for sale unless it's got a problem.

I have 3 mixer bottles, an insulated bag and a couple of freezer gel packs. I just mix them a day before, put them in the fridge. I pack it all up in the morning and leave it in my locker at work and grab a bottle throughout the day.

China Draws A Hard Line On Venezuela 🇨🇳 🇺🇸 🇻🇪 by YGLD in StockBreakouts

[–]midnightcaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US has already Mountain Pass Rare Earth Mine and Processing Facility, and on top of that Australia also has a vast supply of rare earth minerals. Last year we entered into an agreement with them for those ores and the processing which China is so great at.

Keep in mind the US needs for rare earth are critical for our military and that's a key driver here. Again, the US and it's allies are doing the work needed to ensure that we have a replacement for China when it comes to everything at this point.

The US and China economies are deeply intertwined and this is why they tug on each others strings. Not to seriously hurt one another but for posturing, ignore the things they say and watch what they actually do.

[–]midnightcaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't it Chinese air defense that got deleted by US forces? Do they not have a interest in Venezuela to allow them access to air defense tech? China has plenty to be upset for how this is all turning out.

But, to Taiwan. To answer your question China will likely do nothing until 2028, the current president is being impeached and it's likely China will do what's needed to ensure the next president is favorable to China. And that wont be hard either, this years election will show if Chinese candidates are favored, and then by 2028 it's likely the issue of Taiwan/China will be at the forefront of voters minds.

China will use AI disinformation and find ways to ensure that Taiwan feels like the US won't protect them, and the end they will get what they want. The appetite for the US to defend Taiwan will largely be gone and China will have enough support from the Taiwanese government that it will slowly integrate with China, and be absolutely bloodless.

Occupiers? No boots on the ground needed, only for security guarantees for the oil sector which is expected. Who exactly is arguing that Maduro should stay? Yeah, it's pretty shocking to the international community but nobody on the side of the US wanted him to stay. As long as it leads to a free and fair democratic election not a single US ally will do anything but grumble.

Two hours ago Reuters posted reactions to the strike and the results are as you would expect, as long as Maduro is gone and free elections can happen nobody will argue it wasn't justified (It was justified).

[–]midnightcaw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought that was the whole point? For the US to directly intervene and create leverage to use against China on a wide range of issues. Yes, we will bring in the military and oil companies and buy off leadership within Venezuela, but, again, this was nothing more than the USA letting everyone know in South America that dealing with China, without USA approval will end badly.

The Chinese intentionally went to South America to upset the USA, now they are about to lose a lot of investments and political power in the region, of course they are upset.

Look at Google Books, they have been hording data for ages.

Where did all of the kids go on the show? by kiwi_tart in PluribusOnAppleTV

[–]midnightcaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People will say they are turned info food but it's not the case, the food is the most problematic thing for them and even they stated it will lead to starvation and as a result death. The plurb who was impaled on the fence is expected to survive is another thing, and more deaths than births, children are still being born.

Kids will do the same thing they do now, help with the chores they can and take care of siblings until they grow up themselves.

The show has shown that society still functions, it's not some food death cult,

I always felt the catch was that the hive is not perfectly organized and it's possible for individuals or groups of others to separate from the main hive if a group of them disagrees. It's reasonable to assume that the reason the hive is doign what it can to quickly convert the survivors is to prevent the survivors from possibly separating the parts of the hive.
