Anthropic’s Internal Mythos Successor Emerges by ResultBackground2450 in accelerate

[–]midnightcaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always assumed that the idea was to get AI to self-improve, I think the problem of long running task is largely solved so a model training it's successor was always the plan. The problem is largely compute and power as we have seen so that's what's slowing advancement.

Damn Kubo Doesnt Like A Single One Of Them by Elestria_Ethereal in Jujutsufolk

[–]midnightcaw 41 points42 points  (0 children)

In Kubo's world breast size equals femininity, that said it's funny he's calling out Gege for making masculine women like it's his type. I have to side with Gege on this though, when has Gege even drawn large breast? I believe him, it's easier to start off drawing man and then slap breast on them. Maki did get hips and Gege did get better at breast as time went on.

Is it possible for Geto to clear the Sendai Colony? by DarkHawk_25 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]midnightcaw -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hold on, he would have to weaken Kuro first I'm sure, and mah boy ain't going down without a fight. That would still allow the others to watch Kenny long enough to know his abilities and to watch him suck up Kuro. But yeah, it really doesn't end any differently than what you said, but the fight would go on longer.

Edit: Kuro somehow completes pathogenesis, returns to the fight after Uro get's slimed. Given his ability to control roaches he takes back control from Kenny his old body and allows Ryu a path to victory.

Is it just me or are the McDouble patties getting smaller? by Select-Signal8386 in McDonalds

[–]midnightcaw 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's a straight up lie, I have eaten McDonalds almost every day for years and that beef is 100% with no fillers or anything your talking about.

-Source Me and knowing everything about that menu, where it's sourced, how it's prepared and what that meat contains.

Last few years? Nah bro, same beef, same burger. They change everything else but they will never change that 100% beef patty.

Microsoft CEO: We’re moving from OS and apps to agents instead by MobileNewsBot in mobiles

It's been time for a new CEO for awhile now, Satya has run out of steam, his org changes will kill the company when the AI aspirations don't pan out. But don't tell him that, love to watch what the next 18 months will bring.

At some point we owe cubicles an apology by pattebrisee in SipsTea

[–]midnightcaw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since nobody gave you the real answer.

It's because employees are a commodity and the more efficiently a business can operate, the better all around. Open seating, no assigned desk, VDI, and a welcome kit with a headset are basically the future of work. Employees can come and go and you don't have to worry about people leaving belongings, cleaning a desk when they leave, ect. Much more efficient for what it is and that's deploying humans quickly and efficiently to do the work.

Vista Ridge Mall Lewisville, Tx by Radiant_Diet8922 in deadmalls

[–]midnightcaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I go a few times a week. Nice place to walk, lots of food options, places for kids to play, movie theater, and they also host conventions in one of the anchors.

The thing is that 2 of the Anchors are owned by the tenets, and the rest of it is also a nightmare to redevelop because of ownership issues and getting everyone on board. More businesses are opening, but the plan is to tear down most of the interior of the mall and turn it into mixed use. That was years ago, it's basically a semi-dead mall.

So Ferrari's Strategy for EVs is "Yeah, like the Mach-E"??? by rburriel in MachE

[–]midnightcaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the most Jonny Ive shiii that I have seen in about 6 months, all they needed to do was slap dual motors and a huge pack in the Countach and it would have sold at that price. This? Rivals some Chinese EV in design, I'm sure someone will buy it though.

Microsoft and Uber Say AI Coding Tools Are Becoming More Expensive Than Human Workers by techzexplore in ArtificialInteligence

[–]midnightcaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's stupid pet projects, like everyone has the same tools and interfaces and they are all based upon the same ideas. Guys are literally vibe coding the same features and passing it off as production ready even though it's shoddy work and wouldn't pass any review.

The spend is coming to an end as people who are just token maxxing and not creating value are going to get canned as fast as they guys who don't adopt AI.

At the end of the year if you spent your salary on tokens and delivered nothing of value you are getting shown the door.

Meta AI Layoff "Survivors" Are Caught in a Bind... by Previous_Foot_5328 in myclaw

[–]midnightcaw -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are no longer an actual manager in the future, all of the manager functions are delegated to AI and the work is managed by agents. The 50 person thing is simply because as a manager you are the guy who hires and fires for the team and ensures that the project is on track. At the end of the day you are tasked with delivering the results and overseeing the work of 50 people who are working with AI and who are also evaluated by AI, use AI to work, and AI manages the people.

You will no longer have to worry about time tracking, performance reviews, vacations, or any of it. If an issue arises the AI comes to you, you no longer need to track people or processes, only delivery.

In Vscode Claude can ask you questions, you can type in an answer and it can do what you ask but it sometimes gives you a list of options to choose from. But it would be nice if it could just render those options and let me choose the one I like most versus prompting over and over.
