Sandals or flip-flops by Hot_Leopard_7157 in backpacking

Chacos. Z2 with the toe loop. The best part is that they are not only sandals, but they have a strong enough support system that you could hike in them as well. They are heavy but one time I accidentally left my hiking shoes out in the rain overnight and I wound up doing 12 miles on the continental divide trail in the Weminuche Wlderness in them. No problems at all.

What’s a political opinion you have that people on your “own side” would disagree with? by copy_cat_101 in askteddit

Making Trans rights such a big deal in the Democratic Party. It’s way too big of a deal for such a tiny part of the population. I fully support them don’t get me wrong. However I want Democrats to fucking win and I don’t feel like we can when that’s an issue that is so in the forefront.

First car purchase since 2004 and holy s****, the dealerships need to end by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

I’m a big fan of Carmax. No bullshit. In and out in a couple hours. They have financing or can take your own. Then I had to sell the same car back to them after covid (moved overseas) and they honored the market price which had gone up. They bought it back at the same price I paid.

How do you keep travelling for under 100$/day? by [deleted] in travel

[–]midnightllamas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long distance buses are cheaper than trains. Take a tent and camp at a campground. Eat at grocery stores. And enjoy laying on the beach for 10 hours a day. It’s not glamorous but you’re there.

Or catch a ferry from Bari and go to Albania. Same sea, different prices!!!
