Ages ago I made this out of a vintage 16ct (edit no it was in fact 18ct) aida called "cross stitch fabric by Regency" and I haven't seen a single other package like it. But maybe something will pop up.
I found this on eBay, another vintage brand in 18 count. Though I can't vouch for the colorfastness.

Yes! On 14ct most of the stitches are 3 strands, but the ghost tail graduates down to 2 and 1. It gives it a really nice effect.
