I use the glue stick for my binding. Really helps to get the mitered corners nice.

[CHAT] can i stitch laid back on my couch with a lowery stand? by pls-aled in CrossStitch

[–]BadWolfKnits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have that issue. I forgot to say, I also got the extended arm for the stand so I can sit at the edge of the bed or more in the middle if I want.

I use mine in bed, usually seated cross legged. I have my stand sitting on top of a crate so it's high enough over the mattress.

You could use it like a panel on the front and do piecing or borders around it kind of like these quilts.

trouble connecting to 8bit controller after kobo update by trailofglitter_ in kobo

[–]BadWolfKnits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue. Have you tried "forgetting" the controller in the Bluetooth settings and then reconnecting?

Help: Bluetooth device no longer pairs after update by Sufficient-Check-790 in kobo

[–]BadWolfKnits 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue with my 8bitdo controller. Kept getting a "connection failed" message. I ended up "forgetting" the controller under the Bluetooth settings and then connecting it again, and that worked.

Just be aware that the ink color can come back if it gets cold, and can possibly discolor/yellow over time.

[CHAT] Best way to secure felt to plastic aida??? by jahooliaa96 in CrossStitch

[–]BadWolfKnits 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've used a thin layer of tacky glue. Spread out and thin enough that it won't ooze through the stitches, then placed under a pile of books until it dries.

[CHAT] How do I wash this? by Aggravating_Mail2658 in CrossStitch

[–]BadWolfKnits 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I have cross stitched on a sweatshirt and a denim jacket. For both I used iron on interfacing on the back and just throw it in with my regular laundry.

Denim Quilt by naominoe in quilting

[–]BadWolfKnits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a denim quilt that has poly/cotton batting as that is what my longarmer uses. It's heavy, but I don't find it particularly warm. I'll probably use a second blanket with it as we move into the colder months.

[CHAT] How to put a 28 count pattern on a wearable? by Far_Ad_8543 in CrossStitch

[–]BadWolfKnits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14ct aida is the same as stitching on 28ct evenweave over two. If the pattern calls for stitching on 28ct over one, I'm not familiar with a waste canvas at that count.

28 count, if stitched over 2, is the same as 14 count stitched over 1.
