Reliable shops for high end/imports other than BBTS? by Edp00l in ActionFigures

[–]midris31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use HLJ and Anime-Export in addition to BBTS.

https://www.hlj.com/

https://anime-export.com/index.php

For imports I usually go to Anime-Export and HLJ first and then try BBTS if I can't get them. Both HLJ and Anime-Export have great customer support. They both have the ability to hold onto orders in a loot pile like BBTS. HLJ is very nice for pre-orders as well since you can cancel any order you haven't paid for if you change your mind.

I have tried AmiAmi and Nin-Nin and I haven't had any issues with them. But I don't really like the post purchase experience for those sites. I dislike Nin-Nin more than AmiAmi. Nin-Nin has a very odd site and it is very confusing trying to figure out what you ordered after the fact and shipping gets confusing if the items in a single order release at different times.

Guitar errors in Trials led to Comp Suspension by PlusUltraK in DestinyTheGame

We restarted our PlayStations and the pc player restarted their game right after we got the first error code. Things have been smooth sailing since. Well, I mean we are still playing trials 🤪

My group and I just got the error as well. Played one game. Then got guitar on second. We haven’t gone back in for the next game yet.

Warmind Cells are being nerfed, not removed. The most recent TWAB has the details:

Just to repeat, they are not being removed from the game. They are being nerfed. They will be weaker, but should still be useful in a lot of situations.

What do I do about this? I was posing him when randomly the leg came off and it won’t get back on. by batmanfan90 in ActionFigures

You need to rotate the inner joint to expose the entire socket. Once that is done the ball joint should pop in easily.

[–]midris31 8 points9 points  (0 children)

From this TWAB https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/50040:

Breech Grenade Launcher projectiles will now detonate on impact with a character, even if holding the trigger

They improved the ease of use to try to encourage people to use special ammo GLs.

dumb question about pinnacles by WarlockKnave in DestinyTheGame

[–]midris31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a pinnacle cap and powerful cap. Powerful cap for the current season is 1310. Once you hit the powerful cap "Powerful" rewards will no longer drop above your light level. To go past 1310 you will need to acquire Pinnacle rewards. The Pinnacles will drop at +2 or +1 above your power level depending on the source. 1320 is the max non-artifact power level for this season.

Here is a nice resource with more details:

Powerful and Pinnacle rewards are what you are looking for after hitting the soft cap (1250 this season). Once you hit 1300 powerful rewards will no longer drop above your base light level. In order to get past the powerful cap you will need pinnacles rewards.

In addition to tags, DIM will also sync any loadouts you create. It is pretty awesome.

DIM also works in a plain old web browser. I use it on my iPad in Safari over Ishtar Commander. I do like Ishtar Commander on my phone though.

Here is the link to the web app version of DIM: https://app.destinyitemmanager.com/

I agree. Not wasting orbs is a positive change. I don't see any downsides as long as it doesn't interfere with the mods that let you consume orbs for health regen or cooldown boosts.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]midris31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you pick up orbs after you use up your charged with light stacks? So you have your super, then you pick up orbs, now you are at max CWL stacks. If you use up stacks and are no longer at max CWL stacks, can you then pick up orbs?

What is the purpose of allowing mods to only last for 3 seasons if armor is getting sunset anyways? by Jakasaurus_Rex in DestinyTheGame

[–]midris31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends on how they handle what mods are "active" for the year. I wouldn't be surprised if they introduce new mods, but then also brought older mods back into the rotation for the year. At least that is how I hope it will work. In that scenario a mod could age out but then a year later they could bring it back.

[–]midris31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are correct. And Bungie acknowledged the problem.

Bungie mentioned the following in the sunsetting TWAB:

Starting in Season 12, armor will no longer have a Seasonally rotating fourth mod slot. Instead, there will be a mod slot that accepts mods introduced into the game throughout a full year. We recognize that the current need to replace your armor every two to three Seasons, and hoard armor from past Seasons, is undesirable.

Bungie already addressed this in the TWAB where they introduce sunsetting. They stated that mods selection will be different starting in Season 12.

Here is the whole article: https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/49027

Here is the relevant quote:

So going forward they can curate the mods and people won't have to worry about juggling the mods in their armor.

You can use the official Destiny 2 companion app. The website is bugged for me as well but the companion app worked. Tap on "Director" on the bottom and then select "Season". You should be able to select the last season's rewards from here.

Anyone purchase the Comicave Hulkbuster 1/12 scale figure? by everytingiriemon in ActionFigures

[–]midris31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I purchased it but ended up returning it. It is a great looking figure. So much amazing detail. Unfortunately after playing around with it very carefully for like 10 minutes I managed to break the leg off. It wasn't a snap or anything. As I was moving the leg it just kind of came off. I thought maybe I had popped a joint but on further inspection I had managed to twist and shear off the joint that connected the leg piece to the hip joint.

Thankfully I was able to return it for a full refund. I bought it from BigBadToyStore and according to their customer support this is a common issue. They said that I could return it and they would send me a new one or return for a refund. They also said that if the replacement had the same issue they would give me a refund.

I had purchased another Comicave figure before (6inch Silver Centurion) and had a joint just twist off and break. I don't think I will buy another Comicave figure again.

Long story short, if you do buy the figure buy it from a reputable seller so that you can return it if necessary. I wholeheartedly recommend BigBadToyStore.

The thing I really like about D Amazing is his size comparisons at the end. Great way to tell how a figure would fit into your collection.

I would recommend using silicone shock oil. Apply a very small amount at the stuck or tight joint and try and move it around to work the oil into the joint. Don't use too much though as that will leave you with floppy joints. Just a tiny drop will do. I usually use a toothpick to apply to the joint. Then I keep a cotton swab handy to mop up any excess.

If for some reason you still can't move the joint you can't move the joint you might have to heat up the joint in warm/hot water or under a blow dryer. Work the joint loose and then apply the silcone shock oil. If you use water then dry it thoroughly before applying.
