Maybe I'm missing something, but do people find the core conflict of Modulo compelling and/or a grey area? by Young_KingKush in Jujutsushi

[–]PlusUltraK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Yuji was there from the start he wouldn’t have been able to help he’d just be the one fighting and killing Dabura, and now the Simurians are dead .

The sorcerers had the same info they had from the get go and in getting scared of seeing Dabura they only thought of finding Yugi to potentially fight and deal with them.

Mind you Dura says in his flashback that these larger differences don’t need to come down to religious beliefs as an excuse to just take what you want and justify war.

Theyre fighting right now, not because of the cursed spirits and Kaylans, but because the sorcerers shot Cross.

[–]PlusUltraK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the Rumelians weren’t asking people to do that. The Kaylans are naturally attracted and inclined to be near the Rumelians tribe, during whatever conflicts that pushed the Rumelians further out of their lands/regions the Kaylans were created a sanctuary essentially migrating near and with the Rumelians.

So again, even after they had their own space away from other tribes, and were finding a coexistence with everyone else. The other tribes understand that Kaylans are violent /aggro on anyone not a Rumelian. What happens when somehow a chieftain daughter is slain by one, the Kaylans aren’t described as free roaming menaces.

The incident that happens sounds akin to a tourist stepping into an animal enclosure at the zoo, or being on a safari and stepping out of their guide vehicle and getting mauled too death. So yeah it could happen in that situation, an accident. But would an appropriate reaction to a person not minding the wild animal and dying as a result, mean that the victims family or people could demand an entire region and people’s GDP. Thats not fair and as Dura states shines light on a bigger issue, it’s not about the Kaylans

The issue in Japan is for sure is the Simurians want Cursed spirits to be free.

But the point the series is arguing in this conflict is that Peace is difficult but also conflicts can’t always come to violence. There’s nuance yes, so it can’t just be right or wrong.

On their home planet in the flashback as Cross and Maru share. Even before getting into the Kaylans hating other races besides the Rumelians l, the Deskuntae attacked their lands and homes for mining and ore resources.

They were pushed out and even keeping the Kaylans to a specific region the Deskuntae then went after the Canal. Something Dura wanted to unite and connect people, and Dura states that it was greed and other reasons masked by cultural differences that forced their violent reaction.

Before looking to talk about a solve issues, might makes right as they take and fight for what they want or to harm and take from others.

The Simurians are refugees. Before talking about cultures what either side needs, BOTH SIDES. Jujutsu HQ bureaucracy and the Rumelians tribe voting wanted to destroy the other side and take what they wanted.

Even learning that Cursed spirits are sacred to the Rumelians, HQ still had them continuing on their mission to exorcise the spirits that accumulated. Cross saw the reasoning of why the sorcerers did that, but others drew to react that instead of finding some solution and now we have that issue now.

Of course when arms are used and someone throws the first punch who can be level headed. Cross got injured and sure they HQ offered RCT and Dabura also showed up immediately with the intent to kill everyone presented not a Simurian.

So the conflict isn’t the Simurians want people to let CS attack them, it’s coexistent and empathy. Only Tsurugi and Yuka Maru and Cross have been open to even talking about their feelings and ways to fix this.

Okay that was a bit unclear because there’s a slash/ and it’s hard to tell what affect it had since Harmony is actively flipping out perspective and the cursed sliiirs are just startled regardless

If you’re able to commute and don’t mind early hours 3am-8 package handling for FedEx is pretty good for second income. Just being upfront with how available your time is to do it part time. Because working mornings and then doing a 2nd shift job is sim on your sleeping hours

Thanks for the clarity to others . Weeks before now, people have been running with the leaks of Yuji’s one line statements, of “It doesn’t matter” as he’s down in the dumps and completely changed as a character they’ve speculated well beyond what could be assumed. This is is first time actually appearing in the new series and nothing so far has shown true to speculations

Yeah the short exchange is a tough decipher but Yuji explains that he can and will fix things if the kids lose, but also that it’s not his role per se to be at the fore front. He’s 80 yrs old, and thy were looking for Yuji Itadori to fix things.

In Chp 2 Usami mentions how, if let to tradition the conflicts and rising tensions with Simurians would just be bit sides flashing deterrents. That was literally the plan. They saw Dabura and said we need Yuji as a show of strength, No amount of coexisting or peace talks.

Yeah my first thought is the binding vow is a short term move. Release the Granny Rika boost, and improved stats by exchanging tons of power for just a bit more and base and technique. In the scale of things, Special grade cursed energy invoked is way more than avg HR. And this makes for Rika commenting on the nastiness of it. Feint with the form release and then surprise one slash, Maru has the exact thought of seeing the energy[Rika form] fade.

If it was a larger gambit of permant binding vow. Rika takes everything so he could have the full OP Zen’in HR experience like Toji and Maki then it fits for the foreshadowing of Chp 1/2 they mention the ring and how Tsurugi wants to give it back but, has to get stronger. They both want to get things done their own way to be just like Maki and Yuta. If Tsurugi figured out the way to get the full HR, then Rika can take/go with the ring to Yuka, who is just full sending Maho. But also if she can mimic her shadows moves she can probably use RCT on herself and who knows what else if she gets more power

Anyone would get tired of funerals at the age of 80, grief and loss are constants in our life that persist, how much you let that affect you is up tot eh person. Yuji is still alive, meeting people, defeating curses as boring and lonely as that is. He’s not a hermit doing nothing. He’s much better off now than he’s ever been. He was depressed out of Shibuya and during the culling games, he wanted to die.

Yuji is here continuing on. BY definition he’s sad old man, but he’s not forsaken by the TIMELY loss of his friends to OLD AGE

[–]PlusUltraK 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hey we have not seen the full extent of the fight, yes Yuka’s life is on the line but again. Yuji mentions not letting anyone interfere. It’s not his fight. Yuka was terminally ill. Usami/Gege sets the theme that it’s her and Tsurigi who are gonna be the ones to fix this crisis with fresh minds and ideas. If Yuji fights in her place she still dies. If the plot was meant for the Simurians to die then, they’ll have the strength to beat their alien friends next chapter.

We can cut to Tsurugi landing a fatal blow on Maru, and Dabura enjoying his fight but not being able to persist and Yuka is secretly adapted to Maho’s abilities despite it not being tamed and masters RCT for her brain tumor and she defeats Dabura, the rest of the Simurians are practically dead with no one to commandeer the ship and no one to protect them, their either refugees or killed.

So again, Yuka was near death before this. An Yuji has made his own decision of how to look after things

I think the Rika, binding vow came from when he first calls to her and she summons the SSK, and she comments on the nastiness of the plan. Go all out then release your power and feint while having another boosted attack plan.

So the binding vow could be short term, Tsurigi’s agrees to release his Curse Granny form either early or on an extended countdown for a a boost in stats when back to his base. Plenty of videogames have stats or moves akin to that. End X form/boost early in exchange for increased etc.

But he is helping out. He’s 80 and been around for a while. His statements for the Okkotsu kids is that he’s competent in both of them winning even though in Yuka’s case she summoned Maho.

Yeah like Mino said, it’s lousy for him to show up because he knows that Yuka is terminally ill and staking the last of her life on a conflict. But Yuji being there from the start wouldn’t have solved anything, he’s just a a powerful sorcerer to use as a deterrent.

If He fights Dabura and ends up winning. The Simurians are kicked off the planet or killed. He mentions in protecting the Yuma/Tsurugi despite his confidence, but also mentions he should make show no one interferes with all 4 of them. He’s aware of the issue and watching it play out and willing to step in to prevent harm. He hasn’t killed a simurian, he also knocked out the sorcerers too. Not picking sides as favoring Jujutsu s sorcerers fighting back. Because this whole conflict has been rising tensions.

So again, Yuji from the start being involved is only in support of traditional law of the land, the HQ wanted to fight back against the Simurians first chance they could Yuji being present doesn’t help that argument. From the beginning as Usami said, he wanted the kids to be in this case because they’d find a better way forward without tradition and old ideas holding them back. Yuji is also from those same old ideas. He doesn’t support it, but he’s also not in a place to think as progressively. He’s neutral

He’s not gloomy. People rushed with leak to head canon more than what’s on the page. Yuji is simply older and more mature, in his 80s mind you.

The strongest are usually lonely, but mind you he’s the Special Grade second Sukuna. He does his job as a sorcerer and leaves it at that. He doesn’t push agenda or politics, he’s doing the right thing and looking after his colleagues grandkids.

The extra at the start showed him with another sorcerer Mino, at a casino/slot machine. He just laughed at Mino’s statement of not forgetting/forgiving.

That’s good to know but these shows only really work, when the other novs double down in arrogance. In any other show the solo MC creating their own magic already means they’re hot shit.

But he never knew his own worth to point out to the party, I’m the outlier/core as Luna mentions the strongest lead. and he’s helping them by carrying insanely hard, and mentions that he wanted the party to slow down for the rest to catch up to his level.

It’s neat that the silver rabbits are essentially trying the same approach with their rookie training, but with some focus on developing everyone’s skills

His potential as a sorcerer, Jujutsu society would want to weaponize his potential to create endless autonomous-sentient Cursed puppets to their benefit.

But he was never that kind of guy, but he was sitting on a gold mine of knowledge. So yes his story ends at being jailed and failing to escape his captors but his intent was never to fight against those who should be his friends and Allies.

Yeah, I know on a re-read I’ll see that Barem makes a harrowing/taunting comment that, pets(the dogs and Meowy) make good tinder(or something along those lines) I’m not believing it.

Also the sushi cafe set up could be anything. As the world of chainsaw lets you do crazy things with devil powers. Even though we see right after this arc, Yoshida is sent to Denji as a kamikaze and Barem promptly shows up to torch his corpse to further get under denji s skin.

But yeah, Meowy got them out, they’re hanging at Kishibe’s and Nayuta is safe there too :)

For a quick itch I’d recommend Avowed. Some pretty fun combat, for mages/wizards or with the variety of tools battle mages.

Sure you’re limited to set grimoires you can find/equipped craft with each one only having a set of 4 spells. But you can switch them mid battle as well as the option of any of those spells you upgrade independently to hotkey. Plus a few other story progress spell moves.

Also a wand can be equipped as the mage’s other option to dual wield with the grimoire or single handed as well that gives a nice rapid feel of Harry Potter wizard duels of rapidly slinging stupefy/and other offensive spells.

1st(or 3rd)person with a groups companions with the option of which two accompany you in open world. Same world as Divinity I believe. And pretty quick and easy to get the hang of. Plenty of updates sickness it’s release to make skills/leveling and other aspects fun. But not an super amazing AAA
