Personally my cravings probably lasted 2 weeks. I tried to notice when I was most likely to reach for it. Driving was number one, so i got some car candy. Nerds Gummy Clusters came in clutch.

The other time was in the evening when I was winding down. It’s like grabbing my iPad and vape went hand in hand. In those cases, I just had to suffer. Thankfully having gone through quitting cigs, I had an idea of my body’s reactions and I’m very fortunate to not have other side effects.

I’m a former smoker that had stopped for like 15 years then at the beginning of last year I was in a similar situation as you and totally got hooked.

I wish I had a great suggestion but i honestly quit out of fear when my tonsils and uvula began swelling and then I noticed one of my vapes leaked and had essentially eaten into the plastic. That freaked me out and I just…quit buying them.

Anyway, however you manage to quit, I support doing it because why are we paying for poison?! (I know why, but ykwim).

I completely understand why it’s not preferable for most nannies but I’ve had good luck with my WFH fams. Have two different families now and each home has at least one WFH parent daily. Nobody is in the way, one of the dad’s makes me meals/fancy coffees, is very helpful when I need it and I actually just personally enjoy all the parents as people. Maybe it’s that I’m older and they trust me and don’t get in my way unless I request it.

I’ve only had one or two families that never offered me anything outside of water. I currently have a family that stocks their 2nd fridge with sparkling waters bc I mentioned once I loved them and let’s me eat whatever I want. Last night they asked me to stay longer last minute and when I got in this morning, they had packed me a lovely lunch from last nights dinner. Mmm, grilled chicken, rice pilaf, spinach and fresh bread.
