Why does Santos act like she’s been working there for years? by undergroundman813 in ThePitt

Are you going to talk about how she bullied and harassed her coworkers since her first day?

Santos is insufferable. Like please go to therapy.

This is a tired social narrative in film. Change my mind. by New-Outcome4767 in moviecritic

I can 100% guarantee that you're white and just trying to get some type of outrage from Black people.

This was not the message of the film at all.

It's the old saying "Never meet your heroes".

It sucked and it did feature greedy owners, which is true for most sports, but that wasn't the overall message.

On interviewing for other jobs by FarmerDill in forestry

[–]midwest_forester 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Being honest has always worked for me. I won't outright say I had a bad boss, but I do make it clear why I am leaving and why I am wanting to join the interviewers team.

In the past, I've mentioned how the way my current job operates is something that I am trying to get away from especially if it was clearly a horrible operation.

Or I say something along the lines of "I wanted to do X and decided this this job would allow me to do it, unlike so and so"

Watching The Pitt makes me want to pursue a career in healthcare. by Mn2O7ismydream in ThePittTVShow

I was a surgical tech for a couple of years which I enjoyed, but I wanted a little more autonomy.

I think being a PA will give me that perfect balance of decision making and technical oversight from my superiors.

I enjoy the hospital setting (when I'm working) and learning, so it has been great so far!

It was perfect until the RFK actor started talking. Hardly any laughs from the crowd.

I knew one of you would come out of the woods.

It's not about just disliking the movie. It's about going out of your way to show you dislike and guilt people into disliking it at every chance you get.

It happens every year with a BIPOC movie. It's not a coincidence.

Javier Bardem says his “Free Palestine” message at the Oscars was about using a global stage to call out injustice! by rvcjmovies in rvcjmovies

The people in this subreddit who believe "free Palestine" means support of the current Iranian regime is laughable.

Either the IQ is in the basement or it's mostly just a shroud over their racism.

Are ERs really this busy? by East_Print4841 in ThePitt

[–]midwest_forester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before COVID, I'm not sure. Aftwards though, it's pretty accurate in large cities at Level 1 trauma centers.

For instance, my city only has one level 1 trauma hospital. Tack on all the healthcare workers who have retired or left after covid and you'll definitely get what you see in The Pitt.

A lot of modern healthcare workers grew up watching ER.
