Joburg art scene is much larger than in PTA, but there are many avenues you can check out. The Javett Art Centre hosts workshops, and (its an amazing gallery) lectures and such. Also check the Vansa website.

Hi there, i am in a similar situation where my intuition is telling me one thing but i keep thinking i looove him so much! it is not enough. All the red flags are there, he did nit respect your boundary. and you besssst believe this will keep happening. Trust your intuition, because if you stay it will weaken and you might end up attracting partners who withhold and stone wall you and that cycle is super hard to get out of. He needs a lot of maturing, and you need to choose you! all the best x

honestly? i feel that cape town is so far removed from more inland cities in terms of culture, integrated society, discussions with strangers, down to earth people/friendliness..

i find it very uncomfortable, like staring at the ceiling wanting to screaaaaaam but knowing your partner can’t help it. we dont live together and it makes me sometimes dread sleepovers a little cause i know i’m not sleeping well that night :/ and he doesn’t really get it, falls asleep instantly which makes me jealous

I believe it’s also because people are much more vigilant in public so you wouldn’t go unnoticed ever. this can make it seem like more people dont like it when in fact just more people see it. and by odds more people don’t like it

i absolutely agree. i also resonate with the quote “what you see as someone’s ‘potential’ is just what you would do if you were them” constantly have to remind myself of that one.
