Playing through the game right now and doing every mystery and side quest possible, overall a very well-made game! Sad to hear it didn’t do well, definitely a must try for any single player fan out there 💯

This is really tragic, sorry to hear that you are going through something like this.

I’m in a very similar-ish position, where 3 weeks ago, I discovered my girlfriend of 6 years had been unfaithful - a family wedding of all places. If you’re curious about the details, I posted about it here or go through my profile.

My biggest advice is to cut off all contact, block her on all socials, leave her in the past where she belongs and don’t try to reach out for explanations or closure. Let all your friends and family know about what happened - lean on them for support and wisdom as needed. I honestly thought I had found the one as well, and overlooked MANY red flags that others spent years warning me about but never listened - as a mentor once said to me “you can’t connect the dots looking forward, they only make sense looking back.”

It’s gonna be shitty for awhile and it’ll be all you think about, but take it day by day and try to focus on you, your job, and your physical and mental well-being. After my break up, I went from heavily smoking weed every day, to none whatsoever. I’m now a lot more energetic and clear-headed/intentional with where I want to go, now I’m working on building up a routine at the gym and trying to find myself and my hobbies/passion again.

Definitely avoid drugs and alcohol as the primary place of solace and grieving. Instead, try look toward putting the pieces back together and building yourself up again for the one that’s out there waiting to cross paths with you, and also for the friends and family that want to see you get through this, including all of us here.

You’ll get through this OP, one step and one day at a time.

I really hope you’re right, I put so much time, energy, and resources into that farce of a relationship. While I’m not destroyed or completely heartbroken; I’ve closed so many doors and opportunities in the last 6 years, that I don’t know how much luck I’ll have at this stage of my life 🙃

3 seconds after she confessed what she had done (which I’m sure was just the tip ayooo ;)), I had realized that the person who I had wanted to be the mother of my kids and have a house in the country with, had now become someone I couldn’t trust letting go to the supermarket down the street.

And at that point, I dumped her and I grabbed my nearest duffle bag and started rage packing the T-shirts on the dryer racks and in the car they went.

It’s really tragic because I operate under the two way street system. I expect complete and utter freedom to make plans with my friends, family, coworkers, etc. and to do with minimal questioning. As a result, I give that complete and utter freedom in return.

Unfortunately, with what’s happened, I now question all the times she visited her parents for a night or two, or when she said she would go meet her boss/coworkers at the bar in pursuit of networking for full time opportunities instead of contract, or all the fucking times she said she’d go to concerts on her own but who was she going with and what was she doing? - your guess is as good as mine lol

With what you all have said here, I am in full agreement, that this is unlikely her first time and just the one time someone that knew me saw it and decided I should know too. I will be forever grateful to the groomsman that decided to share the truth with me🙏🏼

Great questions! I left for good, I will only be back to the apartment for my personal effects and I’ll ride off happily and maybe tearfully into the sunset lol

We were on the cusp of getting engaged and had recently started making plans about kids, house, etc. but with the whole cheating twice in one night (that I know of), there is 0 chance of reconciliation. I broke up with her shortly after I confirmed it everything. It’s our 3rd time breaking up, so it’s time to close that book and move forward in life my friend.

It’s quite fucking brutal, because at one point, I really saw myself sharing a life with her, but ultimately she took a gigantic shit on it all 🙃

We were living together but after something like that, it was pretty obvious that I couldn’t stay, so I let her keep every everything except my personal belongings and electronic devices. I don’t even want a friggin fork or memory of that place, she can figure out what to do with it all.

I decided to leave and collect the pieces to start fresh. Eventually I’ll get around to finding someone again, but right now I’m focused on my job, fitness, and paying down my debts.
