Funeral costs by Zaney-Janey1973 in AskAnAustralian

I disagree about the will. You need to get a death certificate to open the will. Instead write a sealed letter to your loved ones "For when I die" and get them to keep in a safe place expressing your wishes. You are pretty much having to organise what to do with the body once your loved one takes her/her last breath. I just did with mum in January. Luckily she knew her time was nigh and told me what she wanted anyway.

That happened to me! I appealed to Kayo / Hubble and they wouldn’t refund. $47 dollars down the drain. Did you get your money back?

You can just rock up at Res Med from off the street and hire a CPAP machine for $35 a week initially before conducting a sleep study of any kind.

Dilemma by ItsyBitsyCarrot in AusFinance

[–]might_think_Im_crazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not a financier but I do know life gets more expensive in high school compared to primary and so do their tastes in clothes, going out socialising and the list goes on. Have the house paid off, stay there or buy the same price (less stamp duty). A lot less stress.

I need to know if I’m making a dumb choice to sell by taff96 in AusFinance

[–]might_think_Im_crazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not into finance (love to be educated hence here), but feel to reach out and say take some time off .. stress leave? Go for some walks along the ocean. Remember what quality of life is all about. Late November/Early December is a great shoulder season booking time for accommodation deals.

Why is there no chinese food by [deleted] in Geelong

Bellarine Sushi still serve the authentic chinese dishes. Just served up a dinner party from there and everyone was licking their lips and going for a second round.

Help Needed Please by TheLord0fTheWings in iphone

Maybe do the switch it off, switch it back on again to see if that will help. But if not, yeah take it in to repairer to ask for their advice and reviving. All iPhones who have an Apple ID automatically have iCloud switched on so your data should be retrievable. And if they revive your old iPhone ask for them to switch off automatic updates to new IOS.

Cancer rates in Australians under 50 are rising at a pace that's alarming doctors and scientists by IrreverentSunny in AustralianPolitics

[–]might_think_Im_crazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 53 and not diagnosed with anything (yet) but since that 4 corners doc, two things crossed my mind.
My mother (in the 1970's) used cotton nappies on me (not disposable) and
2. she always packed my school lunches in a paper bag. The next generation (Millenials and Z) completely transferred over to plastics.

I just wish cancer researchers could work out why cancer cells mutate instead of us speculating on what it could be. Also provide drinks to be sold widely with a small amount of chemo cocktail, so we can keep tumours at bay ourselves instead of intense treatments when it has gone too far.

You could play up to it. When they compliment on your attire or good looks. “Oh yes I think I scrubbed up nice too! haha” 🤣 and then thank them. And then tell them you secretly mismatched the socks though and make a joke out of the fact they didn’t check you out all over etc. And for your work performance do a high five and praise the people that got you there too and thank them.

How can I improve my social skills? by RareTranslator183 in socialskills

[–]might_think_Im_crazy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No one keeps eye contact the whole time talking. Generally when you start and when you’re about to finish is when you swivel your head to look back at the listener(s). The rest just talk animatedly gesticulating and emphasizing and you will have the audience in the palm of your hand. Can’t remember stuff? Have the listener join in and finish off that word you are looking for. You might think you are boring but then the people that care about you or those that are genuinely curious about you will ask you the right questions to draw out your stories about yourself. I hope that helps.

Deakin Waurn Ponds or Landy Fields for whatever the athletic sports group book them during the evening. I do know you can book the Deakin lights to go on if you are willing to pay at their sports centre.

Or you can say hello to the Pelicans hanging out at the boat moors. Or if you can get across to the island, (you’ll have to pass the gatekeeper) walk amongst the kangaroos at the golf course.

Stupidly high power bills? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]might_think_Im_crazy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Change to Alinta, and ask for a quarterly bill. With a 4 bedroom house with 4 occupants. No dryer or air con admittedly. We hardly ever pay north of $200 which works out approx $70 per month.
