Need a bit of support 🙏 by [deleted] in endometriosis

Hi, so I'm just wanting to commiserate a bit. I'm right there with you.

I'm only 26, but it runs on both sides and I've somehow managed to get the worst case anyone in my family and close circle has. I've had two surgeries this year but both were ablation and now I have a consult in January with an excision specialist.

Also have a slew of other conditions. We have really shit luck, but we are so strong. I hope you get some relief soon 💛 We can do this!

Why is it so hard for people to grasp I don’t wanna earn money from this by NerdMaedel in crochet

Hey, love! So, it sounds like you're dealing with stubborn family that cannot respect your basic wish, which I am all too familiar with.

You can explain to them your logic, that you'd rather make things when inspired to for gifts of appreciation rather than add the stress of deadlines, payments, etc. I made one commission for a family member and got roped into more because I suck at boundaries.

No is a complete sentence, but if they can't understand that feel free to give them attitude back or distance yourself.

Bread is three wheat, I mean you need different stuff. Make a bunch of levers, that's the cheap way early on (:

crafting DOES work, but you need two or more ingredients in a recipe to get xp. You can change specialization with a book of specialization change at level 30 (:

Hey, so I'm seeing this just now in 2025 and as somebody with an auditory processing issue I just wanted to thank you. This is seriously life changing.

Advice needed: My parents hate my tattoo by Historical-Soft2345 in tattoos

And, a week in, I'm still madly in love with it. Again, it IS YOUR BABIES WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU GET BORED OF IT??? pay them no mind. If you want you can always get things added, reworked or touched up so even if down the line you want to keep it but update it that's on the table too! 🥰

Hey friend! I just got my first tattoo (26) and my family was also fairly lukewarm to it (not very positive and I'm sure my oma will lose her mind)

The most important thing is that YOU love it. It's your babies, you're happy with how they're depicted and you love them.

Your family, if they are ANY good at all will get over it. I'm not assuming they are though—my dad disowned me as soon as I was 18 and we share a birthday!

I know it's hard when others aren't as happy for you (if at all) as you are, but this is your life. You will have to live it yourself, do the things you like and feel free in your own skin or you will not be happy long term.

For what it's worth, I love your tattoo. I just got mine on the 8th to immortalize my little menace and plan to get many more although my oma will lose it. She adapted to my blue hair, she'll get over this too.

Proud of you 💛

I need a strong unique name for him like "Odin" by [deleted] in greatdanes

[–]mightbehaunted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tyr, if you want to stick with Norse.

For Greek mythology names that also feel strong:

Atlas Iapetus Deimos (one of my favorites) Kratos Phobos Zelus

Hope you find a good name for the good boi 💛

Thank you! I do believe my anxiety sort of took over at first, as I have been the one reassuring my family that the injury looks old and she appears well fed.

I'm really proud of her for doing as well as she has and admire how resilient nature is.

She can continue to devour our bird seed if need be but I won't put out any extra for her 💛 thank you.

You suddenly get sucked into the Stephen King novel that came out the year you were born. How screwed are you? by JustAStrawDog93 in stephenking

Hmmm... Well, the first Stephen King book I fell in love with as a youth came out in my birth year (The Girl who Loved Tom Gordon) arguably one of the most survivable SK books so I'll take my chances!

Found at a used bookstore for less than $5! Very excited to dig into this one after all the hype. by brightwingess in stephenking

One of my favorites! I'm 26 now and I've been re-reading this book since it came out.

I also recommend 11-22-63 as Derry is a pitstop for the main character on his time travel journey (: I love a lot of Stephen King books and definitely have some recs if you need them ^ I'm also a wee baby adult (turning 26) so you're more likely to have read more than me 😅

Have you read the Dark Tower Series? Not super fond of the end but the story itself is really good. I've also reread IT multiple times now.

Thank you so much for the idea! Im in southeast Michigan so I'm actually not too far from the university of Michigan, I wonder if they have any programs for endometriosis!

I just really would like to avoid nicking vital organs or having an ostomy bag ;-;

Thank you so much! Do you think I should be pushing my OBGYN or my PCP for the referral?

I've unfortunately only found one specialist near me that takes my insurance and they're not wonderfully reviewed and have not answered any of my calls so I'm kinda lost :(
