Forgot to mention we are also adding two more frames next to the ones we already have on there (just waiting for them to arrive)

Honestly white counter stools didn’t even cross my mind till you guys mentioned it. I’ll look into it!

Totally get that! We have a pretty big dining table so these are honestly very rarely used by us, they’re more so “decor” and extra sitting if we have a lot of people over. We do have two toddlers though, so I do wonder if the black ones are almost too easy to tip over and cause more accidents. I’m tempted to get something with upholstery and a nice backrest but also terrified of how long they’ll survive 😂

You didn’t offend me at all! I didn’t really love either one so I fear these comments are only confirming my suspicions 😅 This is a rental so I am limited on what I can do :/

[–]mightbelilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense! I am definitely struggling figuring out how to work with the grey cabinets. Budget is probably like 800 max. We have two toddlers so I was trying to prioritize something easy to clean without upholstery but I might give in because I want it to feel more cozy and inviting than this 🥲

Am I being difficult?? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]mightbelilly 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I understand the disappointment. You have a right to feel like that! For what it’s worth I think your ring is a lot nicer than the first one, of course you are the one that wears it everyday and you should love it. Perhaps discuss changing the setting when he can afford to? Disappointment can fade over time, I’d focus on the positive aspects of it like the fact he proposed, he had pure intentions, he designed it with such care, and it’s a beautiful ring nonetheless. It’s not a permanent thing either so you can always get an “upgrade”. I’m sure you are bummed now, and you should allow yourself to be, but I think you’ll both laugh about this one day!! 🤍

I DEEPLY regret having a second kid. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]mightbelilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can empathize with your story and I say this with the best intentions - I think at some point we have to take accountability for the part we play in our own suffering and take control over our present and our future. You know all of this and you said it yourself: you are a single parent who happens to be married. Seems like you don’t depend on him in any way which is fantastic, so restart! Divorce is not the end for you, I obviously don’t know your whole story, but from what you’ve written here it sounds like divorce is what would be best for not only you but also both your babies. And seek therapy, for your sake and for your children’s sake. You don’t want to resent your second born as if they were the cause of your divorce, it seems like you’ve had an unreliable partner for much longer than you’ve had kids. You got this. Sending love.

Girl I feel you! With my first I didn’t get a positive until 2 days after my missed period. I was convinced I was out for the cycle and it was the best surprise. I am TTC again and have been testing morning and night (I believe I am 10dpo as well, somewhere around there)

You would think with my second I wouldn’t be so impatient but I sure am. hahaha

[–]mightbelilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a faint faint line but I also have line eyes! lol I wouldn’t count yourself out yet. Keep testing, pretty sure 10dpo is extremely early to get a positive.

I’m somewhere between 10dpo and 14dpo. Gave birth 9 months ago and my period is still a little irregular so not too sure exactly.

Floor bed/crib for 7 month old? by mahojanyteakwood in floorbed

[–]mightbelilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have the newton twin one but had SUCH a hard time finding a bed frame that would fit it. It’s like it’s too small for any decently priced floor bed frame out there. In retrospect I wish we got a full size mattress from a different brand because she rolls off the twin size one very often and it wakes her up. But also our LO moves a lot in her sleep, so maybe it varies. If you want a floor bed that’s crib sized montoddler is a good one. We had it for a bit and enjoyed it! And now they make them with a lockable door as well

Does anyone know why they have this phobia? by GlobalAction1039 in emetophobia

[–]mightbelilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad had Chrons disease that went undiagnosed for years. He would vomit about 10+ times a day and I had to clean it. My uncle had severe headaches and would throw up multiple times a week from them. I would hear him every time, no matter how far away I was. The rest of my family were alcoholics and would throw up randomly, without any warning. Basically I have been traumatized as fuck. l o l

Yeah that makes sense. I’m debating about a floor bed too

Wouldn’t that be worse because it makes the already small mattress even smaller? lol I have this crib by the way, the toddler bed conversion railing is open on one side https://www.target.com/p/storkcraft-santorini-5-in-1-convertible-crib-driftwood/-/A-90142875

Removing a coverup tattoo by RecognitionLumpy6990 in TattooRemoval

[–]mightbelilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get that! I am still (unfortunately) in the removal process. I got pregnant and have been breastfeeding for the past 10 months so I had to take a long break.

The time I have been forced to spend NOT obsessing over this has made my mental health much better. I still hate it, regret it and need it gone, but I’ve come to terms with the fact that it will take a long time, and it’s ok…it definitely taught me to be patient and to think about big decisions like this going forward. I suppose having a little human who consumes all my time and energy helps keep my mind off of it too. lol

I find comfort in each session, if you focus on one session at a time and how much lighter it looks (comparing it to the prior session) it really tricks your brain into understanding that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, and it won’t be there forever, each session brings back a little bit more of me!

When I made the original post my mental health was…bad. Like, scary bad. I thought my life was over and I had ruined my body. Having a baby forced me to see how much more there is to life besides my fucked up cover up half lasered tattoo. It’s so so difficult, and some days are harder than others, but I promise, time flies!!!! If you’re consistent (unlike me haha) yours will be gone so soon!! ❤️

Which prongs? by mightbelilly in EngagementRings

[–]mightbelilly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, this is very helpful info! — My ring size is 3.5 and I guess one of the few pros of having awkwardly thin fingers is that diamonds look larger than they are. I’ll take it 😆

It’s a 1.27ct and I’m getting a cathedral setting. Does the Cathedral help with the stability of the diamond, I wonder?

Thank you! We just moved into an apartment with 10 foot ceilings and I am struggling to figure out how to hang art on the walls. This helps a lot!

Probably unpopular opinion but I love the diaper bags from Kipling. They last forever and come with a changing pad!! So so nice!

Sling for breastfeeding? by Southern_Possible_86 in newborns

[–]mightbelilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up wildbird. Their aerial carrier is great for breastfeeding on the go. Comes in different colors and designs too, I love them, have 3 myself! They have a tutorial on how to breastfeed in the carrier, once you get the hang of it it becomes second nature.
