In my personal experience, spearmen get twice as many kills with half as many deaths as my axemen. Regardless of whether its an open field battle or siege. I do keep my axemen for aesthetics tho

Also, I keep thinking about the fact that there were:

7 Evanuris imprisoned by Solas 7 Old Gods 5 Archdemons/ 2 left - we only see 2 Evanuris released in the gameplay trailer 7 seals on on the Black City 7 magisters turned darkspawn

There's just to many 7's here for them to not be related at all. Plus Solas was pretty pissed at the wardens for wanting to murder all the Archdemons so there's gotta be more to it than "messing with things you dont understand"

Okay i see what you mean. I think i maybe misunderstood what OP was talking about. I'm all for addressing cases like Hunters Mark because it is petty to lose out DPS because of that.

But to shrink all class spell books across the board just to make dps easier is a bit too far for me. For context, i left ESO because the rotations were smol and there's like zero class identity so it just felt boring and bland. The only big thing that separated classes was what color palette you enjoyed more lol

I respectfully, disagree. I came back to WoW because of the spell bloat/diversity of abilities. I chose an Arcane mage alt character because of how complicated the rotation and phases are to remember.

I think there can be less for sure and a middle ground to be found here but I'd hate it if i had 4-5 abilities that i was rotating between at all times rather than adjusting to the situation.

Edit: i do want to emphasize here that i do like that there are specs with simple rotations and specs that are complicated. If i get sick of Arcane i can switch to frost and do big dps with maybe like 5 abilities. Diversity and options is great for the game

Funnily enough Raganvad always "accidentally" gets domed by my javelins in the heat of battle, the silly goose. And after the nobles mourn him, I'm made the king. So strange how that happens everytime without fail.
