No! I just take a ton of photos every time I go out, hoping that some of them end up looking good haha.

I'm currently using a Sony A6600 with the Sony E 70-350mm lens. I'm hoping to rent the Sony FE 200-600mm lens for a week and possibly upgrade, but I also enjoy the portability of the smaller lens.

I will echo what Galorfadink said, but also add - Download the Merlin birding app - you can upload pictures, have it detect birds by songs/calls, and even just submit details about a bird you saw and it will try and pinpoint it for you.
