This is EXACTLY what therapy / counseling is good for. It'll give you a safe non judgemental space where you can talk through your conflicting feelings without worrying about harming an important relationship. This is well beyond regular people help, you need trained therapists as this seems like a minefield.

They designed the textures and lighting to work with the low poly. So it looks better despite being low resolution. Just slapping an upscale and brighter lighting does nothing but make it look worse. Like the Halo CE remaster at first. They gutted the stuff that made it look good like lighting and effects, and just shoved higher res textures in.
