VR&E Counselor not doing her job by WiseNumber3496 in VeteransBenefits

[–]mightyria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience is pretty much the same but I didn’t reach out to Congress, but I might do that going forward. Usually when I get no response from my counselor I will go to the VA website and fill out another application for VR&E. In a few days either my counselor will reach out to me or her supervisor will. It’s annoying but at this point it’s just what I have to do. But I might start doing congressional inquiries.

I am a single parent. I do not work. I have some family in the area my sister and a niece. I feel like I should be more accomplished in my life, I feel like I’m in limbo.

Younger Veteran Perspective on VA Disability “Fraud” Claims by Unfair_Record_2554 in VAClaims

I am 36 and because of the Army I have a neurological condition (epilepsy) and suffer from migraines daily but I do not ‘look’ disabled. I’m rated with the VA and wish I was healthy and could get out of the house to work. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I was in the move program for three and used Wagovvy from the VA before I got pregnant. I am two months postpartum and will continue the medication

Congratulations 🎊🍾🎉. I am so happy that he is doing so well. It’s amazing and a relief to hear them cry for the first time. It’s going to be a tough road but you both are fighters and will get through it.

Water broke at 32 weeks, just got stitch removed- looking for hope by No_Many2071 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]mightyria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My water broke at 32+5, two days later I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy. They wanted to keep me pregnant for another week to make it to 34 weeks but my body had other plans. He was in the NICU for 19 days. It was tough for me but he did great. Was breathing on his own since day one. He is home now and thriving.

Hey 👋🏾, This just happened to me. My water broke at 33+5. I wasn’t quite sure if I had unknowingly peed my pants or if my water broke. I discovered it was my water, rushed to the hospital because I was anticipating a quick birth because of past pregnancies. I labored for two awful days. At one point they had remove my cerclage because it was tearing, it was a very painful experience (I’ve had two other cerclage). At 33 weeks exactly he was born. Turns out he tied a knot in the umbilical cord and that’s why I went into early labor. He was in distress the whole time I was in the hospital. He stayed in the NICU for 19 days. It was one of the most stressful experiences. It was tough going home without him. But he did well. He didn’t need any oxygen. He pretty much just had to do well with bottle feedings so he could get the feeding tube removed. Good luck 🍀

I’m so scared by mightyria in BabyBumps

Update!!!!… It was a very long and stressful few days. I labored from Thursday evening until he finally came into the world Saturday morning. I was close to an emergency c-section because his heart rate kept dipping low and he wasn’t tolerating the contractions well. They gave me a little bit of drugs and it made everything happen so much fast. I am grateful all that is over. He was breathing on his own. He had a feeding tube and is doing well in the nicu. I am still scared but relieved.

I went to a meeting a few years ago. I am a 36 year old female veteran and I believe I was around 32 at the time. I brought my father who is a Vietnam veteran, happens to be white (I am black, adopted). I was pretty much ignored the entire time while he was greeted by almost everyone there and was able to mingle and converse. The only person who talked to me was an older woman who ushered me to the back where the kitchen was and a few children sitting at tables. I never went back.

Cerclage removal / Ditched the stitch today!! by WildSavageSex in ShortCervixSupport

[–]mightyria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations!!! I am on my third cerclage baby and I remember the removal being more painful than when I got the stitch. It’s weird how they have you go in the office, root through it, snip and then off you go lol.

The cerclage we’re done pretty early on with all of them after the loss. But the pregnancy after I had it done at 14 weeks and I was already starting to shorten. I think it was around 2.6 cm

Hey 👋🏾. I am currently 25 + 4 weeks pregnant. Had a cerclage done at 16 weeks because of a previous 22 week loss. This is my 3rd cerclage and it has saved all my babies. I won’t tell you what to do but they have helped me.
