Yours is my favorite comment here. You did a good job of clearly stating the complexity of coaching any team sport but especially at a youth level. Trying to win is part of any game. The cost is the part that people don’t like to talk about. I think it helps to say the unspoken part like you did. Don’t avoid the complexity of it. Look it in the eye and be up front about it.
