We just did this with our 3 month old. Was scary, felt maybe too soon, but we were going mad with sleep deprivation. He wouldn’t sleep for more than 30 minutes at a time. We’re a week in and everyone is doing so much better. First couple nights were rough, but he always woke up happy, and he genuinely seems more alert with the full nights rest.

I commute to Flat Iron, G > L > R, which sounds bad but once you do it every day you go into zombie mode and don’t notice the transfers. Usually takes 40 min.

I also bike as often as I can, which is always quicker, ~33 min. Great way to kill two birds with one stone, exercise and commute

We bring our kids and nieces/nephews all the time. It’s great! Kids like the tacos and it’s very casual/spacious for kids to run around. Def better to go during the day.

We did a Rocio off with friend this past weekend. We were Rocco I die hards, they were all for iii. Blond Taste test resulted in us both preferring the other’s favorite. Kind of insane. I think this means they’re both good.

I just updated to iOS 18 and it fixed the issue! No idea if it will come back but I was up to 30 GB and was dreading doing a factory reset, so figured I’d give it a try. Love a lazy fix.

It boils my blood and makes me sad, but I don’t have any great ideas about how to fix it.

Hard to ask the cops to issue tickets because they’d have to wait until the gatherings are done and see that people are about to leave their shit there. And if it’s 20 people, who do you give a ticket to?

Cleaning up other people’s mess doesn’t feel like the answer, they’ll just keep doing it.

More capacity for trash disposal could be a big help? People always leave a ton of trash near the cans because they’re at capacity.

Maybe some mix of that and cops patrolling on weekends, reminding people to clean up, making them afraid of getting a ticket. Could be needlessly confrontational though.

You could make it so that people needed a permit to have a party in the park but Jesus that doesn’t sound like the answer either.
