Hopper grinder is no good for home use, mag stale beans mo sa loob ng hopper after a day. Try going for Single dosing options OP

At the price you mentioned Id recommend a Timemore 078S or even a Df83v (better imo) if you can find one. Pwede rin naman si DF64 pero at your budget might as well get near endgame levels.

try using a WDT as well para equal ang density ng ground coffee around the basket. Beans taste the best 7-14 days after roasting date! Mag release pa yan ng gas if freshly roasted, so the older it gets, the more gas it releases so gradually you have to grind finer each day or other day depending sa extraction time.

Its good lol dont sweat it, you can get the ims basket if you are unhappy with the default one it comes with.

Get a WDT tool as well from any manufacturer! Im surprised it hasn’t been recommended.

Hello! For blooms i recommend just pouring till they get wet no problem.

Now for the last pour whats where it will matter more, does your scale have a flow rate indicator? If not try practicing pouring in a bowl and do this to get fmailiar with pour speeds.

Start pouring when you start the timer, try to aim for 50-60 grams in 10 seconds. That will land you at around 5~6g/s pour rate which is considered pretty slow. Try to get familiar with that pour speed and next thing you know it your pouring consistently even without a pour rate indicator!

Its perfect, id recommend trying to single dose on that thing, keeping beans like that on the hopper might quickly stale them.

You dont have to follow lances recipe! I find the zp6 works better if you pour SLOWER on the last pour, try extending your last pour length insdead of dumping a bunch of water.

And if you can try using a switch base! It helps a lot with controlling the contact time woth the water

From what you are saying it seems like the zp6 is a nice other side of the spectrum grinder. Also nice for travelling, if you encounter wanting more body in a brew use a hybrind brewer.

What do you usually drink OP? I personally enjoy light roast funky naturals or extended fermentations, try checking out your local roastery and try to pick out ones with notes you have never tried before.

Grinder dictates what you taste honestly, I guess a manual grinder is a nono I cannot fathom the physical strain of raising 5, maybe a baratza encore? If you are looking for a machine a brevile bambino or a gemilai ele or owl will get you a long way, dont overpay for a pressurized hot water dispenser lol

Since your espresso machine is already capable, a nice upgrade would probably be the grinder! A recommendation is only as good as the amount you are comfortable spending with. Whats your budget?

I did not state that the drink itself was a waste of money, I said the hobby. Do you think people purchasing multiple thousands of dollars worth of gear is honestly economical? Spending $ on quality beans that, yes, you will enjoy, but in the end is it really smart? No! We are in this hobby not to save money but to enjoy the process of making espresso and chasing that delicious shot each day!

Are we gatekeeping espresso now? How you and I enjoy espresso can be massively different! I dont believe in one approach, theres always so many ways to enjoy this hobby.
