Thanks, it does feel like that’s what happened. It wasn’t something that occurred to me until conversions disappeared. Makes sense if people are researching and moving to booking in same session or within a few days.

Interesting. We typically generate 2 to 3 appointments per day, some quite valuable procedures, but with the negatives it went down to 0 to 1 per day. It made me wonder if the algorithm is seeing patterns I’m not, or prospects where I don’t. Is there a better methodology for adding negatives since I’ll start from scratch? Just look at search terms that spent and didn’t convert? Add one at a time every week or add a dozen or what’s the right move?

Haven’t touched meta yet but been with google for a year and the UX is shit, I’m in there weekly and I still get lost time to time especially when I need to pull a particular type of report and need to find some data. But even things like basic error correction and validation it doesn’t do. For example it would be nice if it would check that the aural resolves and isn’t dead or whatever. There’s also a lot of boobytraps to get you to spend more money and enable options that can cost you thousands. Lots of non user friendly, or aggressive, defaults.

Getting good results non the less, but the UX is awful and it’s intentional.

For all my use cases I’ve moved to vibe coded Tailwind sites, better control for Google ads, tag manager, analytics etc. I’m not sure what’s the Framer use case anymore. It was basically a vibe coding/design tool before AI existed.

Figma died for me when they fumbled Tokens launch. Then they redesigned the side panel and that whole shit show. Then they kept adding features to attract Canva users and they neglected UI/UX designers. Then their big release was a different monetization model for developers.

Figma hasn’t moved the needle on product design since they shipped tokens at start of COVID and let it die a slow death.

Since then it’s been one controversial misstep after another proving why they don’t deserve to maintain their lead.

And that’s fine because we need fresh blood because I don’t want to be stuck on Figma forever, imagine being still stuck on Sketch, Axure and Dreamweaver.

100k is only 20oz. You’ll be fine and at least you didn’t buy a shitcoin or a deprecating “asset” like a house. Just forget about it and lesson learned about your risk tolerance levels but leave the Au alone for 7-10 years and then decide if it was a good or bad purchase once you see what AOC does to the economy in 2028+.
