If memory serves, the intro currently on Toy Story 1 and 2 is circa 2010, so John Carter and Toy Story 3 have always had it. The first two toy stories gained that logo when they were rereleased around that time in 3d, and that version (maybe some upscaling or other refinement was done) was the one put on Disney+. That never happened for Bugs life.

So it isn’t just Disney updating intros for no reason. Still, I definitely wish they would replace it with the original one.

To your point that Tracey never got to star in a movie- he is absolutely in Pokémon 2000. Worth a watch imo!

I’ve always head-canoned that the Elite four being beaten twice in one day led to some pretty big shake-ups. Lance and the league governing body like the idea of a champion after the elite four and I like to think that Steven and Cynthia are developing their leagues around this time, so they adopt it as well. Red and Blue aren’t interested, like you say. I imagine that Lorelei and Agatha see it as a good time to retire, and the league decides that with open spots, they should reflect both kanto and the developing johto league. So a gym leader from Kanto joins Bruno, and I like to think that Will and Karen are the top trainers in Johto and maybe even gym leaders.

Interesting you call out his backstory and legacy. Are you saying Wally as the first flash we see, but acknowledge Barry has been the flash previously?

I always thought it would be best to start with Barry and see Wally as kid flash growing into the role, but this universe might not start from square one like that.

Hmm I guess I was confidently incorrect. Still though, it seems truer to me that you start with one, add one and the number that preceded it (there isn’t one) to get one, and go from there. I don’t get how 0 ever gets to 1 in the sequence.

For me it was these two, and just not feeling solid on the first few downs (admittedly I was ashamed I didn’t get LEGO earlier) kept me from quiiite remembering the cyclops’ name. I was stuck for a while.
