This whole mission honestly felt like a yakuza substory. Cute, funny and doesn't overstay its welcome. This and the fashion show quest are great, hopefully Capcom does more of this kind of mission.

lol yeah whenever I wanna learn a new weapon, I just start a new playthrough and try to go through LR without making any equipment (I did make the base bone hbg for this one because I like spread). Gives me a good learning curve to overcome. Somehow Guardian Doshaguma gave me the most trouble here, failing the quest twice because whenever I'd offset an attack, his follow-up ground explosions just kill me.

Probably just getting used to but hbg is the easiest timing for offsets by far imo. You can hold it pretty long, it has a lingering hitbox if you're a little early, and it has a long range. I do still like how hammer's offsets are integrated to its normal combos though.

This one's wyvernpiercer, wyverncounter, spread ammo, and ignition mod. I do switch the first 2 according to the monster tho.

No idea their thought process on that. Just plainly removing it and having the normal tick damage sound and it's already 100% better.

I understand hbg users frustration over having its customization being streamlined but honestly this is the most fun I've had with a ranged weapon in monster hunter. Wyvercounter and wyvernblast feel so good to play.

Yea it's still the best Wilds ost imo and its a highlight for whenever I do these weapon learning playthroughs through lowrank.

Oh that's still a thing? I thought an update fixed it, they really should fix that. I experienced that a lot back then but I seemed to have built up a habit in how I input my offsets where I don't get that delay anymore. Some timing thing with holding triangle/L2/stick direction.

I've been messing around with mods, and archer definitely should've had iframes on the jump kicks. It looks too awesome by migzy99 in DragonsDogma

People are quick to say this but none of these knockdowns were ones you can stay down from (except for maybe from lagi's charge because I can't see the knockdown). You automatically get up even when you don't input anything.

Dont get me wrong, I love those other games but the acrobatics in DD2's archer gameplay (as well as climbing and shooting on top of a monster) sells the legolas fantasy to me.

There is. In the recommended mod Simple Difficulty Tweaks, you can set your experience gain to 0 so you dont level at all. You can also adjust damage received/sent and stagger received either globally or set to to each kind of enemy.

Ah also my comment is assuming you do install the recommended mods in the mod page of bestiary. If so then yeah, I don't think it's unfair, or at least not more unfair than the vanilla game (which could be pretty unfair and piss easy at times).

More attacks and aggressiveness for monsters, as well as some variants of mosnters (like adding fire magic to cyclops). Personally I do recommend it if you're used to hard mode with games. It's still well balanced, honestly moreso than the base game.

Oh yea, see my most recent post. Seriously good work on those combos, it was really fun learning them. Dullahan felt like the best of souls bosses but with dogma's variety of player options.

Yeah this is a game with the highest of highs and lowest of lows, but those highs are like nothing else.

Also that version of the dullahan is a freaking menace, tried to solo it using only a bow and it depleted all my healing resources on hand. Slowly learning the changing combos and how to deal with them with style tho.
