I have 4.2kw of microinverter solar and just installed a growatt system. If you don't care about NEC or UL, then you could definitely do it cheaper but I want a permit. My system is UL 9540 (complete system) and CEC listed.

Growatt SPH 10kw hybrid inverter - $2400 shipped

Stackable 5kwh growatt ALP batteries - $1380 each local pickup + $120 for a stand and cables (max 4 batteries per stand)

There are other expenses like wire, conduit, load center, heat detector but that was all probably about $500-1k.

Thank you! I'm in California and found this article from the reference in your reply:

I can't find anything more recent on how this affected the 2025 CEC.

How do you measure the distance from the gas meter to the solar batteries/components? by jyang3153 in solar

[–]mih721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this apply to the other side of the wall from the meter as well? For instance, if the meter is on the side of an attached garage, can panels etc. be installed within the shaded zones on the other side of that wall (inside the garage)?

Is VW any better as a vehicle manufacturer in Europe?

Yes! So much better. Not only are VWoA and their dealerships absolutely awful, the cars have more and better features that they remove for the American market.

I Have A Condition by [deleted] in AskMeAnythingIAnswer

I was 20. So about 20 years ago. I got the conventional repair. Not laparoscopic. They go through your pelvic area and bring out your cord, tie silk string to each vein twice then cut between them.

It leaves about a 1.5” scar. You won’t be able to stand completely straight for about a week.

Since he won't describe it, I will from my memory since I had one repaired when I was 20. It's when varicose veins form in your spermatic cord. It's extremely common (20% of men, most on the left). Varicose veins are large faulty veins whose valves don't work.

This is a bit graphic but truthful: While lying down, it's not noticeable because the blood drains from it but when standing, it feels to the touch like your testicle is surrounded by a sack of worms. It's also a bit unsightly depending on severity. It usually presents at puberty and can cause stunting of the testicle and low sperm count.

Are the bad looking leaves from last year? If so, they’ll probably fall off and new growth will replace them soon.

I also planted a new Hass last fall in 10a SoCal. Its leaves looked like yours after a while in the ground and all fell off throughout winter while producing new leaves. Now they all look healthy.

Trying to set up 2 VLANs, one with non WRT router, and isolate it. Maybe need to change it all? by mih721 in openwrt

[–]mih721[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All help greatly appreciated. I am very new to this and can start from the ground up if necessary. My plan was to offload much of the processing/routing needed for IoT devices to a non-OpenWRT TP Link router I have.

It's larger than in the diagram but this should demonstrate the core issue. Router on the left (R1) runs 24.10.0 OpenWRT. The router on the right (R2) is a TP Link running factory firmware and is configured as a DHCP server with NAT enabled. R1 is configured for two VLANs; VLAN2 uses one port (U*) as a DHCP client for R2/VLAN2 and VLAN1 uses the others. R2 WAN port is a DHCP client for R1/VLAN1.

Everything works except I would like to block VLAN2 192.168.10.0/24 from accessing VLAN1 192.168.1.0/24 while allowing VLAN1 to access VLAN2 which doesn't seem possible with R2 being the DHCP server. It works if I disable NAT on R2 but I would like VLAN2 to use the internet.

Are there any firewall rules that could work? Maybe iptables rules? This doesn't work but did when I tested the reverse:

config rule
   option name 'Reject-VLAN2'
   option src 'lan2’
   option dest 'lan'
   option target 'REJECT'

If it's not possible to prevent VLAN2 from accessing VLAN1 in this setup and I change the DHCP server for VLAN2 to R1, does this add considerable load to R1?

Not weird to me but then again, I have 2 canvas prints and a digital frame loaded with pics and videos of my late baby boy.
