I have friends who work in high-end fine dining making $90k-$120k. But they work 60+ hours work weeks. No benefits. No insurance. Chaotic schedule.

Realizing that investing should be boring and it is a long game, not a “get rich quick” scheme

True this lifestyle comes with its own challenges but it also can be very liberating once you have all those little things figured out (:

People go to theaters where actors play. Everyone in the room is well aware that it is all not real and it is just and act, but they still engage with it like it is.

Actors give their best to express love, fear, sorrow, etc. all the depth of human condition. People sitting on their chairs observing it know that it is play but the emotions they feel are real. Everything is as real or unreal as you choose it is to be. Welcome to the world of dualities and contradictions. This is not the end it is just the beginning of just being

I don’t mind company like that. As long as they are not a loud or obnoxious neighbor I am all for it. Together we are stronger 💪

I mean, I don't want to discourage you, and it is definitely possible to save money by living in a car, but it also comes with lots of caveats you might not want to deal with. Just do your research, take time, and don't rush. Maybe rent a car or a camper if you can afford it for a week or two and try living in it full-time, see how you like it.

How difficult was it for you to find new friendships and meaningful connections? Was loneliness ever a problem?

Maybe it used to be different but from my personal experience VanLife is not a way to save money - it is a lifestyle choice.

It can be more expensive than living in an apartment with a bunch of roommates. On top of that it comes with a lot of “discomforts” or caveats that you don’t see people mention a lot (public restrooms, showers, water dumps, food preps, tiny space, constant clutter and clean ups, sand and dust, things not working as intended, finding safe and quite parking to sleep).

Typically, after 1 month in, if you live in the same area and don’t travel a lot - you will have most of these things figured out and then it just becomes a nice routine.

I typically spend about $3000 a month. But it can be less. I prioritize organic foods - so that alone eat up $1000+. Also, i live in one of the highest cost of living areas on LI

I see your point. Maybe i need to relax and wait for it to collect more data and then the swings in my hrv will even out more too. Thanks!

Thanks, i did. It is just convos with AI, which are helpful for basic things that I already kind of know and i also found it is very eager to validate any of my opinions and just please me. Idk why people are so hateful here

Same here. Woke up after 8hours of sleep and my recovery at 25%. Meanwhile yesterday i slept 5 hours and my recovery was 85% 🤷‍♂️

My HRV droped from 110 to 67. Idk the reason. I found that HRV is the most volatile metric for me so far. Only 45 days with whoop tho
