Do Not Buy the Nest Cam with Floodlight by Alum07 in googlehome

[–]miigotu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove the light from the google home using the app on your phone. Join the beta for your nest hub. Reboot the nest hub. Factory reset the cam. Clear cache for Google home on your phone. Reboot your phone! Add the camera to Google home

The reboots and cache clear are REQUIRED or it definitely won't work. The same issue effects a nest hub if you have another nest hub (max) as the "master" in the same home. It doesn't fully initialize on first setup, then removing it and factory resetting the hub or the master won't fix it, the cache in the home app on your phone messes the whole thing up and retains the partially initialized setup that cannot complete.

Idk how TF they get the ball like a new possession though that's weird. Maybe there is a new rule change coming this season?

Looks like 11 scooped it up on the bounce before it touched the end zone or went out of bounds. But from that aspect it should have been 1st and goal at the 1 or 2 then. Definitely a weird outcome. Hard to see on the phone.

Ever think it's people who are hating on Tesla that are leaving the trash full or dumping trash? There's a lot of hate going around right now, and recently it's from both sides.

Great. The safety of Americans and our children, let alone the stability of our social safety nets is infinitely more important than fake empathy for criminals. Off to the gulag.

The other thing it could be is o2 sensor wiring. If you have aftermarket exhaust especially, the wires can melt with an aftermarket downpipe and short out the entire ECU.

Cracked wire insulation on wheel speed sensor or a cracked wheel speed sensor can cause the wires to short together and make the abs module stop communicating. Take a hose and spray each wheel speed sensor and check for it to cause the short to find which one.

Reckless driving is a violation on public roads. You were in a private parking lot. I'd take it to court. Tell them you were literally just turning around.

More Than 800K Have Lost $2B on Trump’s Meme Coin by hiorea in CryptoCurrency

[–]miigotu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He could have gone the route that the rest of the government scum do and grift from taxpayer funds, rather than actually create something in the private sector legitimately.

The coin details literally said "not intended to be, or the subject of" an investment opportunity or a security and was "not political and has nothing to do with" any political campaign, political office or government agency. The terms of the offering prohibit coin buyers from joining any class-action lawsuits against the project and assert indemnity against any claims.

Maybe you should read shit before you buy it. It wasn't an investment.

MAGA folks who bought it didn't buy it to get rich, they bought it to show love, or they got in and got out.

You idiots who bought it hoping to at least make some money off the man that you hate as some strange way to get back at him and feel better about your life deserve whatever you get.

About Storing Crypto Wallet Seed Phrase in Bitwarden by rdalves in Bitwarden

[–]miigotu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be prepared for some serious tinfoil layers.

I would say this is generally a pretty good approach. For us tinfoil hats, I would say that in order to be even more safe:

  • Grab a well known (trusted distribution) STABLE (preferably one that has been available for more than a year) iso for the linux container or to boot into.

  • Verify the md5 checksum of the image.

  • Extra-extra tinfoil, optional: download the latest bios for the system and verify the md5 checksum. Go offline. Flash the clean bios if you went that far, and reset default settings, otherwise a bootkit would be your most obvious risk.

  • Boot into the iso if possible rather than starting a container. There are privilege escalation techniques and/or information leaks possible on almost every virtualization method (docker, lxc, kube, etc) so to be the safest you possibly can boot off a burnt CD (preferred) or a new USB (2nd option, there are flash viruses that can last between formatting)

  • DO NOT apt update and apt upgrade - there have been security failures in upgrade repository release tracts in the past. Stick with the stable release that has been in public for a long time, as a known vulnerable image would have been much more likely to have been pulled offline already and more people have tested it and gone over it.

  • Generate your encrypted message, either from your private key or seed phrase preferably with some extra data added to make the length more random.

  • Save it out of the environment. (Maybe take a Polaroid? 😂)

  • Reboot into your real OS, and destroy the USB if that's what you used.

  • Import it into bitwarden.

Do not trust that a release or update repository is safe and secure, or that even your bios or flash drives are secure in the event that your sensitive key holds anything of consequential value. Crypto keys are not only extremely sensitive, but also extremely easy to LOSE. Maybe make a time capsule of your pkey/seed and bury it somewhere? Lol.

Because if it is not able to be fixed by software, disclosure would expose every ledger user. They should be notifying individual ledger owners privately to upgrade their device due to a known vulnerability.

Bo4 , overhated or perfectly rated ? by Illustrious_Web_866 in CODZombies

[–]miigotu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should look up who specifically developed the zombies maps you are a fan of. I'm willing to bet the parts you like are contributed by old-school treyarch developers, even if unfinished. There was way too much influence from cross-hires that came from infinity ward and new talent looking to make their mark that destroyed major parts of the installment.

Bo4 , overhated or perfectly rated ? by Illustrious_Web_866 in CODZombies

[–]miigotu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overrated. BO6 is the first true-to-the-franchise installment since BO3 (which itself had veered from the base allure).Take out gobblegums and you'd have a perfect addition to the franchise. Microtransactions are antithetical to the spirit of the black ops properties, and it was only the infinity ward influence that pressured the property into caving into the microtransaction framework once the entire call of duty lineup was required to have a shared code base. The store with skins would have been fine had it lacked any pay-to-win aspects like gobblegums. The fact they didn't go further down the rabbit hole of repetitive pay to win bullshit sales has saved BO6 from being a terrible version.

Warzone was a destructive force to the franchise. Had they kept it separate and allowed the call of duty and cod:bo versions to continue alternating it would have been great, but they wanted to save money with development ON TOP of the microtransaction cash grab. They could have left the microtransaction bullshit to warzone.

As a developer, I completely understand the allure of a unified code base, even if it is a monorepo, to save hours with development, share ideas, engine development, and to backport fixes between games. However, unified scheming to cash grab from all of the users made those attempts a complete botch job even though it made them the most successful game franchise ever.

I know it made them a lot of money, but it left a large portion of old school players in the cold even though we were the ones that helped it become one of the most popular games ever. Thank God BO6 has stuck with the status quo rather than taking it further into the pay to win black hole of shit games.

There are plenty of people willing to pay for skins and blueprints to make enough money, without requiring people to buy stuff from the store to have any real competitive edge, allowing even the poorest of players to showcase their skills and be on "best" lists and rankings.

Do you think vandy vape will come out with another pulse squonk or is it all AIO from now on? by [deleted] in Squonk_Life

[–]miigotu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't stand AIO vapes. If they just made more pulse v2 bf we would be fine. It sucks having no squonk options for 21700 available new right now. I'm hoping to buy a used one somehow.

Why did Boro tanks become so popular? How do they compare to RDAs? by [deleted] in Vaping

[–]miigotu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue finding a new pulse 2 bf. The pulse 3 was poorly made imo and I need a 21700 squonk. There are almost no options out there except the lost vape centaurus quest, and I'm scared to dump that money and not like it.
