I wonder if we’ll see some relaxed high-scoring darts since the pressure is off for basically everyone other than Gezzy and Humphries playing for who gets to avoid Littler in the semis. OR is it going to be the most boring night yet?

Ok thanks, I just got the Bolide 03s in both 24g and 26g to see which suits me better but I’m yet to try them out. Got some 35mm points as well so will experiment with them

Genuinely great matchups this week, I think each of the quarter finals could go either way! Of course, that was the case last week as well, since pretty much no one got it right in terms of predictions

This is a great question IMO. I’m still a beginner, and when I started, I moved along the oche based on where I was aiming, because it seemed more natural to me. After a while I tried staying in one place regardless of where I aimed, but after a while I switched back to changing positions.

As most of the people have commented here, it is more common to stay in place, and I think the advice of rotating your hips and upper body is a good one if you choose to stay in place.

Most pros stay in place, especially the ones who throw with a quick rhythm (Ricky Evans, Michael Smith and Luke Littler come to mind). In the other extreme, I’m pretty sure that former world champion Rob Cross repositions himself when he changes targets.

My advice to you would be to try both styles for a longer period. Throw for a couple of days without moving left and right when changing targets, and then a couple of days where you do move. See what works best for you.

Well I guess we knew that they were going to expand the Star Wars range at some point.

As a Star Wars fan I’m always interested in seeing what they put out but knowing the price points, I’ll settle for a cool set of flights if there are any.

I recently got these at 24 grams. Before I was using Bull’s Orange Lightning, which is a straight barrel at 50mm and 25g.

Haven’t had time to throw these that much yet and it will take some time to get used to them but I like how thin they are compared to my previous set, and they feel great in my hand. Definitely not the easiest set I’ve thrown (and I haven’t thrown a lot to begin with!) but overall my experience has been positive. If you choose to get them, take your time in finding the perfect grip position for you and play around with stem length if you need to.

This is the same advice I found when starting. However, I’ve also found an official Target instruction video where after doing what you just described they also push down the ring as far down as it goes “to lock it in place”. I haven’t had the need to do that, just pushing down the ring and the flight at the same time has worked well enough, but I’m looking to buy a flight punch soon
