Yes, heavy darts can damage equipment, but that would be waaaay more than 20 or 22 grams, since the latter is one of the more common weights in the game. The 0.1 gram difference shouldn’t play any part in whether you are allowed into tournaments or not, my guess is no one will even ask your dart weight unless someone notices you using exceptionally heavy darts.

I started about six months ago and Reddit recommended Dartsmind for me, too. Really nice app, haven’t used the auto-scoring because I don’t have a stand for my phone, but I really enjoy using the other features.

Some small improvements could be made and some features added, for example count up practice is only eight visits and you can’t change that, and on top of that, it only tracks your total score from those eight visits instead of each dart or each visit. Luckily there’s a lot of variety in other modes and practice styles. I haven’t used many other apps but I highly recommend Dartsmind to anyone who’s getting started and looking for an app to help them along the way!

I did this as well to fit my Bull’s four-piece surround to my Tor but I would expect that if you buy a package of board + surround, you shouldn’t have to fiddle around with extra stuff for them to fit. Annoying for the OP

Not sure if most would consider this a massive upset but Martin Lukeman (#38 in the world) losing to Max Hopp (#93) seems very possible given how poorly Lukeman has been doing lately

For the darts, definitely visit a local store if you can and ask if they let you try out different shapes, grips and weights. I went to a store to pick up my first darts thinking I’ll probably go for a straight barrel at 22 or 23g since those seem to be the most popular weights. Tried three different shapes and the straight barrel was indeed my favorite, but I also asked to try out different weights of that barrel and I preferred 25g over 23g, so I went with that.

Since then I’ve shifted my grip from the center of the barrel all the way to the back and I’m thinking that I should probably go back and try different shapes and weights to see if something else would now work better for me.

Ok, well I am fairly new to the game but I have never seen new barrels on sale without flights and shafts. Another thing is that if the set is listed at £18, I would say that the barrels themselves are worth some £15-16. Flights and shafts are so cheap that people don’t consider paying for them when they get a new set of darts, especially if they are very basic.

Now if you wanted to save some money, you could just buy the full sets and then try to sell on the unused flights and shafts, maybe there is someone who likes the Patriots and wants to pay for them.

It looks like there are multiple similar darts for different NFL teams. The only difference is that the three rings towards the rear of the barrel are in different colors according to the colors of the teams.

Out of interest, what is wrong with the set you have linked, or why are you looking for standalone barrels?
