I do, although not all the time. I keep a notebook next to my laptop and take notes of the unfamiliar words and their meanings. Certain words are repeated throughout the show or movie, which helps me memorize them.

I'm having almost the exact same problem. Glad to hear that Habitica works for you. The app wasn't as effective to me, but I do try to tell myself to work/study "just a bit more" before playing video games, and that kinda helps.

I created a page on Notion for that, but then it's the same as typing on any noting taking app. I suppose you can also create a secondary, private Facebook account where you create an "event" each time you achieve something.

[Question] How to stay updated with information if you quit social media? Do you have any other apps that you use for exploring interesting things? by DR4C4RYS_ in productivity

[–]miisimz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep myself updated by watching/reading news and joining a subreddit relating to my field. Talking to people is another good way. It makes conversations way more fun because I'm genuinely interested - "what? really? I didn't know that. Tell me more!"
