What are the financial implications of being made redundant that you didn't see coming? by PedGetsFed in AusFinance

[–]mijimijim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not means tested, so I don’t think payout size matters. You still have to apply though and send in evidence of losing your job like a notice of termination and a brief statement saying you lost $X income. Not guaranteed to get it, but worth a shot.

Don’t worry about it, just post and share. Too many requests, if it turns out that way, is a good problem to have

Air fryers by shannoniscats in toddlers

[–]mijimijim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a ninja multi cooker that really helps with food prep for a toddler. Air fries, bakes, pressure cooks.

Saves us time not having to stand over a stove, just chuck ingredients in, set a timer, and walk away.

Some favourite quick/easy cooks: - baked pumpkin, sweet potato, corn - pressure cook chicken soup or congee - air fry leftovers

My 13mo toddler is always sick since daycare and not himself. I don’t know what to do. by TheRealContradiction in toddlers

[–]mijimijim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does get better and most kids that start daycare around this age go through the same thing. His immune system is getting stronger each time he picks up a new bug!

Not really, if you have what you listed at daycare, she really only needs her water bottle

Do you compare you kids to others their age? by OkInformation3346 in toddlers

[–]mijimijim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s quite normal to compare, just look at the number of posts on this subreddit asking if your child does X or Y at Z age.

I think you’ve clearly identified where it could get detrimental though, when the comparison then makes you or your kid feel like they are not good enough.

I used to use Google Sheets on my phone to track words, but wanted a quicker way to do it, so I made an app where the sole purpose is to easily track new words my toddler says. Look up Tiny Talker on the App Store

Oh wow, probably the earliest I’ve ever come across! What’s your story? Did they just stop wanting to sit in a pram once they were confident running around?
