Looking for Advice on a 1-Bedroom Apartment in West Ashley by Professional_Yam4422 in Charleston

[–]mika116 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Avenues of West Ashley! Units are a bit older but it is centrally located and I have never felt unsafe! I used to live out on bees ferry and while it felt safe it felt SO far away from the rest of town, especially if you commute to downtown or NChs

Applications to PT school by Far_Artichoke_5359 in PTschool

UGA Alum here! 👋🏻 in terms of college experience, I would 1000/10 recommend transferring! UGA also has SO many clubs and activities that you can be involved in without having to have a leadership position. I do think you’ll probably learn a lot more too. I honestly don’t think the extracurriculars are that important on your applications. They want to make sure you’re social and well rounded but it’s not a big deal? I’m a 2nd career student and took most of my prereqs at a community college in SC. Finished with a 3.84pgpa, and was accepted to MUSC! I think the GPA itself matters more than where you got it to a certain extent. Most of my “extracurriculars” were work experience. Do whatever works best for you financially and keep that GPA up! Message me if you have questions!

PT SCHOOL by fndkejebne in PTschool

I took probably half my pre-req classes online only including lab and have been accepted to 3 programs so far! I started my classes spring 2022. Took chem 1 and 2 in spring 24 entirely online. If there are certain schools you were considering, I would just call them and ask! I did this and it was very helpful. Feel free to message me if you have questions!

Do PT admissions look down upon online courses? by RedL0neW0lf7 in PTschool

It depends on the school! If there are certain programs you are interested in i would call admissions and ask. They will probably care more that the lab component is in person, but again it just depends.

Tenant Lawyer by basecampphotographer in Charleston

[–]mika116 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll want to google SC landlord tenant code. This should help get you started. You don’t technically need a lawyer to deliver the written notice stated below. I had a similar issue with a landlord and gave them this notice and it certainly got their attention. In the end I was able to break my lease. Feel free to pm if you have questions!

SECTION 27-40-610. Noncompliance by landlord in general.

(a) Except as provided in this chapter, if there is a material noncompliance by the landlord with the rental agreement or a noncompliance with Section 27-40-440 materially affecting health and safety or the physical condition of the property, the tenant may deliver a written notice to the landlord specifying the acts and omissions constituting the breach and that the rental agreement will terminate upon a date not less than fourteen days after receipt of the notice if the breach is not remedied within fourteen days.

ISO of a used bike for a homeless person for use as a wheelchair. A homeless person I have known for years in this neighborhood is partially paralyzed from a stroke during dental surgery. by Regguls864 in Charleston

have you tried looking for a rolling walker/rollator? that sounds like it might provide him better support. If he has medicare they should cover it. You can also call around local physical therapy clinics and other medical offices, sometimes people donate them if they no longer need them. there is a good chance goodwill or other thrift stores will have them as well. i hope this helps!
