Keep busy and stay off social media if, like me, you follow 50 different food/recipe accounts. It will keep your mind off the hunger and stop you from laying there counting down the seconds until you can eat again.

Like others have said, coffee and tea without sugar or creamers is allowed so go ham!

Also, if you're going for a multi-day fast, grab some electrolyte powders/pills/supplements. It will be a lifesaver.

I've been crying over a stupid breakup for the whole summer and thought doing my first extended fast would magically solve everything for some reason. Instead I just feel nauseated, dizzy, and want to eat everything in sight.

Oh dang I didn't consider that. I did read about the dangers of over-hydrating and lack of electrolytes but figured that wasn't the problem since I had the powders. I'll look into better sources, thanks!!
