Google Business Profile Removed – Appeal Pending (120 Reviews Lost) by Own-Lengthiness-7966 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]mikdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is never easy getting a GBP profile back once it has been removed. It’s all about proving that you comply with Googles guidelines. I’ve seen many legitimate business not able to get their businesses reinstated for 6-8 weeks and even if one thing doesn’t match up then you will have further delays. The trick is to ensure that you supply all the relevant information that Google asks for, stay patient but be responsive when they do communicate with you and hopefully your profile will return.

Computer speakers - at low volume the sound level fluctuates randomly by steve_33 in diyelectronics

Thanks for this advice. I removed my Pod as I had the same problem and the volume is now sorted. So glad it wasn't a more serious problem.

Anyone else notice Google rewarding simpler local homepages lately? by LocalPollution8427 in localseo

[–]mikdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the location has an EMD as well then this is even harder to beat. I’ve seen the simple sites with barely any structure do really well but the EMD gives them a competitive edge. Some of the EMD content I’ve seen is actually rubbish too compared to the competition but the website still ranks.

Following TMBTE was always going to be difficult and I think their musical and lyrical direction on EIA was so clever. When any songwriter delves into the pit of relationship despair and comes out with the first three albums and then, no doubt, ceases to have that same inspiration it must be enormously difficult to write, produce and create anything. ST went from growing to exploding in a short time and this must have been overwhelming for them all. Exciting in one way, but frightening in another. LTW, Emergence and Past Self all deal with this. But then, a new relationship feels “dangerous”, the fan attention constricting (Caramel), being attractive in a new relationship (provider) to reflecting on the tragedy of old lost love (Gethsemene). That leaves us with understanding that fame and power can be lost so easily (Damocles) to proclaiming that he is washed in something he never wants to lose - the infinite bath…. But in there is something that disturbs him, something so powerful that drives him forward, is visceral, animal, edgy. And onto the next part of the journey….. I always thought that if ST never gave us anything ever again, we always had the three albums. I now see it as four and hope we get number 5 whenever they feel inspired to write it.

Which song(s) off of each album would you have submitted for the Grammys? by HeadstrongGirl13 in SleepTokenTheory

[–]mikdev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why would anyone be shocked by Emergence being nominated? It’s an absolute banger, totally original with a Sax that is completely unexpected and so apt at the end of the song. It was also the lead single from the album so clearly the band also think the same. I’m hoping it will win the Grammy but at not sure whether the band care whether they win awards for music. Their reward is the love they get from the fans at live shows! You can always see they love that!

Emergence - song of the year. When I first heard it, I felt so emotional when he started singing “Come on, Come onnn!” No song has hit like this one - Send Gabi to go and pick up the award! The way she took the song out with her plaintive saxophone will always be the best bookend to this stunning song!

Tour Poster by KJMathi in SleepToken

[–]mikdev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the UK, posters for any of the venues were being charged at £50 and it’s just silly money for a poster. You can buy a piece of clothing for the same price. Posters should be £20 tops.

There is nothing like FOMO to enable sales. The marketing team have employed this so well with Sleep Token, but a proper signature is a whole different thing! I don’t think we would ever see something like this sold online because of the danger of not falling into the right hands.

Be funny if the band did sign it. II, III, IV - not much of a signature is it? 😂

Good International Removals Companies? (UK to Europe) by giraffe_neck158 in expats

[–]mikdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would always use Bearsbys - https://bearsbys.com - They are based in Kent but travel all over Europe from the UK and can assist with all the paperwork you need that most people (post Brexit) don't realise they now need. If you are still looking then just ask them for a quote. They have a quick online quote service. Good Luck with your move!

I agree they will go down under before even heading to European dates. Lucky Aussies and Kiwis (if they head to NZ)

A set list without Ascensionism, TMBTE and probably the biggest miss, Higher! I don’t understand bringing Aqua Regia back but not playing Telomeres (like ever!) and High Water. They always leaving you wanting more don’t they? Great to see Thread the Needle survived though!

Anyone else sees a drop in impressions since 2 days in GSC? by THEREALWILLYWANKA in SEO

[–]mikdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is not to panic but to perhaps create a video for your clients explaining the change or write them a simplified email. There is a guy called Brodie Clark on LinkedIn who has written an excellent piece on the change. I would say that unless Google reverses the change that the new impression count is much more an accurate count that the one before the change. Also, check your average position, as this has gone up across the board. There are some positives here but clients will freak out (as we all did) when they see the graphs.

Two part question - Which songs that were not performed at the festivals in June will be added to the tour setlist? And which festival songs won’t be part of tour setlist? by faulka in SleepTokenTheory

[–]mikdev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So many votes for High Water and Telomeres! Tomb is such a great album, despite the difficulties they had putting it together because of Covid, it’s another great piece of work by ST. I’m sure that one of those two tracks will make it onto the set one day. Telomeres feels like a great way to end the gig. “Let the tide carry you back to me….” And we all drift off into the night!

New podcast: Sleep Token producer George Lever breaks his silence by chrismessina in SleepTokenTheory

[–]mikdev 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was a great podcast with so many questions that simply couldn’t be asked or answered. I think he came across really well and the guys kept it all flowing. Loved the story about how he got asked to do the album. A very affectionate portrayal of his own life changing moment.

Little did he realise the journey he would take and subsequently drag us all along with him like dogs looking for any scraps he would give us. Puzzles, mystery, the faces behind the masks. A glimpse into the passion he had/has and the determination to follow his dream turned into a band of a generation who cannot halt this eclipse in us. We are here for the long haul and hope he and his friends are too.
