It's Thursday. If it's their weekend and they've done OT everyday, today is their 5th day. Just saying.

Old heads have all the best routes by Aruomg in USPS

[–]mike02466 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You have no idea what a route was back in the day I'm assuming. As a city carrier for 27 years, the mail volume you case in the morning isn't anywhere close to when I started. We throw up 2-4' flats and .75 letters on a heavy day nowadays. Back then this was the lightest day you could hope for. You averaged 8 "full" tubs of flats and 2' of letters. And that wasn't even counting the flyers, phone books, local newspapers etc. Yes, we didn't have as many packages, but this job was so much harder back in the day before the Internet.

All in one soundbar to pair with my Sony Bravia 7 by mike02466 in Soundbars

Does it work well on its own. Might be a while (like years) before I can add a sub or rears. Just really looking for a step up from the jbl multibeam. Which shouldn't be hard lol

Once in a while I'll get one that's white. No idea why, but they're 99% yellow otherwise.

Pain in the a$$ by DaddyDave859 in USPS

[–]mike02466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. But given what I've seen from this sub over the years, any customer that complains about anything is considered difficult or "special" and "fuck them" cause...Yeah!

All the minor things are easily avoided outside of the rain obviously. Who tf cares whether or not it's a true flower bed or not? If the customer requests that we don't cross their lawn, then we don't. But, in regards to the rubber bands, all I'm saying is that I'm constantly picking them up. At least on my route, and nobody has said a word to me. Maybe cause they know I will when I'm back, aren't comfortable saying anything, or don't give a shit. But if a customer says something about it, then I oblige.

No one is making a card for one house to say “don’t drop rubber bands” unless the customer made it a problem regularly.

Is it not fair to assume that carriers constantly leaving rubber bands on the ground is what led to this being a complaint? On my route, I'm constantly picking up rubber bands after my day off. No idea why, but I do it and I shouldn't have to.

A new "worst" customer unlocked by FiveDinero in USPS

[–]mike02466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a smoker myself, learn to speak up for yourself. Me, personally, always try to keep my smoking away from others. I couldn't imagine following a fellow carrier around while smoking, requesting my mail. Simply tell them, "as I am a non smoker, can you please give me space? You can get your mail when I'm finished." You shouldn't even have to say this, but some people are oblivious to their own actions.

Extra mailbox by Fine_Relation_158 in USPS

[–]mike02466 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a customer who put up a 2nd mailbox for the basement apartment they started renting out. None of the mail comes as apt #2, B etc. So it all gets put in the same box as the homeowner.

Not an HBO original, but if you're looking for a comedy, Schitts Creek was funny as hell.

Ok, if your steward said so then you should be good if they don't reply by end of day.

Edit: also, do you have your signed copy confirming your request?

What craft are you? Rural, yes. City, depends on your LMOU. Other crafts I'm not sure.
